Stayed here for a work meeting. Great place. They just transitioned to Marriott management and their service was very good. The pool and bar are in the right place. The hotel shuttle provides transportation to locations that are close by. Go enjoy and tell them DHS send you.

I have not stayed at the Paradox Hotel, but have heard great things! My review is about my experience with calling in an amenity to leave for my father on his birthday. I called in the morning and spoke with Bernadette Clark, a Front Desk Agent, to arrange an amenity drop and she was wonderful to work with. She was...

I booked to go to the Hotel Paradox as it is supposedly DOG FRIENDLY, after seeing this on the Dog Trekker website, I thought it would be great to visit as it shows your pet will receive all sorts of goodies upon arrival, my pup got absolutely nothing given to him, when I later asked if we could take him...

Dear swgww2016, Thank you for brining to my attention your concerns with the pet policy at the hotel and how our listing appears on DOG TREKKER. We have welcomed many pleased canines and their owners, but it is clear we need to do a better job informing everyone in advance. According to State law, only service animals are permitted inside...

This place is clearly an old motel that was renovated in an attempt to be stylish and modern. The rooms are clean, and the lobby, restaurant, and poolside are well kept. The shower floor is stone which some people may find uncomfortable.

Dear Amy W, Thank you for your recent review of Hotel Paradox. We are happy to know you found your room to be clean, and the public areas of the hotel to be well kept. While most guests have complimented us on the stone floor in the shower, it may not be for everyone. Again, many thanks for your post!

It's not easy to find a good business hotel in the Santa Cruz/Watsonville area, so I was delighted when our meeting planner picked the Paradox. It's a converted no-tell motel, with a cool vibe, a great bar, easy parking, nice rooms, and a convenient location. The servers in the restaurant are great too, and will go out of their way...

We are Marriott Platinum tier guests and have never experienced their Autograph brand before. We were pleasantly surprised to find this very trendy boutique hotel just a mile from the beach in Santa Cruz, Socal. We were upgraded to a deluxe room, this is done to a high standard and we loved the pebble floor in the shower! We were...

Stayed here with my family and we loved it! The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, loved the modern decor, the pool was heated, the pool area was so cute and the staff were all friendly. The coffee in the room was good and the shower had good water pressure. The blow dryer and hair products were a nice touch...

I have stayed at this property a few times now. It's an interesting hotel with an edgy interesting lobby and pool scene. The hotel feels like an old "motel" layout with a walkway that leads past all of the rooms. If you are looking to be able to look out your window, there is no privacy at this property. If...

I am sorry to hear that the breakfast service was less than satisfactory. We will certainly take note of your comments and take corrective action as...

The Paradox is a great place! The hotel staff is extremely 'guest-centric', accommodating as much as they can be. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Always on point. The rooms are modern and very well appointed, clean comfortable beds, everything in place. Not for the business traveler. There's a wine/beer cooler in the room. No fridge, no microwave. House keeping couldn't be...

While we were not a fan of Santa Cruz itself, we were more than glad to have chosen Hotel Paradox for our stay. The hotel appears to be recently renovated/updated with very trendy/modern decor. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable (complete with illy espresso machine). The most stand-out part for us however, was the outdoor heated pool/hot tub...
