We had the most fabulous breakfast here, lemon ricotta pancakes were to die for. Sat in the sunshine right on the beach, watching the world go by. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back next time I visit Santa Monica

We had a beach house room on the 3rd floor overlooking the beach and Santa Monica pier. Pricey but worth it. If I was a resident in another room I would have been equally impressed with the service and welcome every time I arrived back...More

Stayed at Shutters to finish our trip to the USA. Lovely room looking at the beach. Not large but adequate and beautifully decorated. Quite a lengthy walk from the lobby to our room on the 7th floor. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Mitch drove...More
Good carrot cake, but average lobster salad, wasn’t quite what I expected. It’s on the beach but limited beach view from the outside eating area. Funny I had looked at booking a room here as part of our visit. Glad we didn’t the whole area...More

Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller
coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.

Good Afternoon GJSophie,
For a family of four, with young children, I would recommend booking either two connecting rooms (king - two double beds) or a suite. The difference is that with the two rooms you will have two separate bathrooms. With the suite, there is a separate living rooms and bedroom, and the children would be sleeping on a queen size sofa bed. Some of our suites also have the option to book a connecting room, making it a two bedroom suite. Feel free to contact us at 866-527-6612 for further assistance.
