Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.

The Oceana was our first choice when we stayed in Santa Monica. It is a luxury boutique hotel which is located on the ocean drive and in the very residential neighbourhood of Santa Monica. It has direct ocean view rooms and local cuisine in-house restaurant. We stayed 4 nights

The Oceana is my first choice when staying in Santa Monica. The only issue I had was not being notified in advance that hotel was closing Sunday for renovations and our included breakfast would not be available.

It was on our honeymoon. I booked the the room with king size bed. We came in the evening by car and the Valet parking costs was 50$, although it is free across the street. We overpaid (around 1300$ per 2 nights and breakfast was not included!!!) for a stinky room with a view

Wow that is a tough task for Disney—I would start with your airfare; that could eat up most of your budget and then check Air BnB. You could get a place with a kitchen and not have to eat out all the time. Very difficult to get around the LA area without a car but you should be able to get good weekly rates from Dollar or Enterprise. Don’t forget to some time at Universal and see Harry Potter world. Good Luck!

We traveled with our kids and did the ocean view suite which had a pull out sofa and separate king bedroom.

The maximum occupancy for a room is 4 adults. For 5, we would recommend booking adjoining One Bedroom Suites.

There is meter parking right across the street. The valet costs about $40 per 24 hours. I parked across the street for 10 days and picked up 4 parking tickets for expired meter and street cleaning. Would have been cheaper and a better experience to valet!

I had an ocean view, and the traffic did not bother me at all. This hotel is at a quieter end of Ocean Blvd. - mostly residential housing. There were actually a good amount of walkers and bikers on both sides of the street. My entire stay there, whether the windows were open or closed, was very peaceful. Hope that helps.
