Don't know where to begin...such a charming hotel in a great location. The first thing you notice is the art-deco decor that is warm and inviting, but certainly not to be surpassed by the some of the most helpful staff I have ever encountered. From the moment we stepped out of a cab until the moment we were being helped... More

I stayed here with my 16 year old son for 3 nights and we had the best time ever! The staff are fantastic, Lin arranged all our tours and they greeted us with warm smiles all day. They serve the best margaritas and the beds are a dream to sleep on. I thoroughly recommend this hotel!

Our comments would be that we would recommend you add freshly pressed orange juice to your menu such as most hotels have especially since California has such wonderful oranges and people like to have it in the moning!. We loved the fact that we could check in early. It really helped us after such a long trip from Australia. Thank... More

We stopped at the Georgian Hotel at the start of our honeymoon and could not have picked a better hotel. The welcome was brilliant with friendly and very helpful staff, the room exactly as I thought it would be clean and very comfortable. Champagne on the veranda a must. What can I say just an all round excellent experience. Thank... More

I booked this hotel from tripadvisor for 3 nights for the first leg of our family holiday to the West Coast. The hotel is located overlooking the beach (over a couple of roads) and central to the main town. We booked a family suite which was more than big enough for my wife and I and 2 teenagers. As with... I'm surprised such a old building could still stand next to Santa Monica beach, in my country, it must be pulled down and re-build long time ago :) I'm also surprised that a big hotel could run so well in such an old building, everything you can see is pretty old (especially the elevator, an antique indeed), but it just... Stayed here for a long weekend and had a marvelous time. From the time we pulled up and saw how beautifully refurbished it was, it was a winner. Overall, it was utterly great. The room was spacious enough, with a very comfortable bed (I usually sleep badly in hotels; not a problem here), decent-sized bathroom, and okay shower (absolutely no... More

We stayed here for a quick trip for a wedding. Clean rooms and great location! It's worth the extra $$ for an ocean view.

The room and service was worth the price. Everyone--from the valet to the check-in clerks--helped us with questions on how to navigate LA, giving us tips on eveything from drive times to restaurants. The room was clean and spacious, and the location was perfect; the Santa Monica pier and beach is right across the street, and the promenade/downtown area is... More

Great decor - art deco - right out of the days of the hay day of the movie starts (who all stayed there!!!) Great location on Pacific Avenue - easy access to the Pier and to the nearby shopping and restaurants. Staff were really helpful. Rooms are on the smaller size - fine for a day or so!! Highly recommend... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
