This hotel has stunning views any direction. North you see the coastline to Malibu and south you see the SM pier and beach. It's very close to the major shopping promenade and a block away from my favourite restaurant Hillstone.

Love this hotel. It's nice and quiet, boutique feel to it. Set back a bit from the sea (only a couple of blocks) it's a peaceful and beautiful place to base yourself from.
PROS: quiet, boutique, luxury hotel setting with a high quality service.

I am sincerely sorry for the experience you had with your recent stay with us. The Huntley Santa Monica Beach is dedicated to providing a memorable experience. In that light, we recognize that with your experience we have failed to achieve our goal.
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller
coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.

It was $47 per day. Very steep, but other places (some with less expensive nightly fares) had just as high parking places. There was a public garage several blocks away, but would have been a big hassle for us to bring suitcases, et cetera over. Good luck!
