The room was nice and cozy. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great, sausage ham and eggs...no bacon :( Microwave and mini refrigerator was available in the room. Nice central location for Santa Monica Pier, Malibu, Los Angeles and Hollywood. Cannot see why anyone would give this hotel less than a 4!!!! If you want something bigger suggest go into...

For a 2-star motel, they had more amenities that I had expected: refrigerator with small freezer, microwave, coffee maker, free Wi-Fi, in-room safe, hot breakfast served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM. The bed was comfortable, and it was also very quiet, very clean, and the staff were very happy, helpful, and friendly. The AAA prices were very reasonable, especially...

My husband & I stayed here on the second part of our honeymoon. The hotel room was very basic, but we are not picky people so we didn't mind that it was a bit outdated. The bed was fresh and comfy, the bathroom was very clean & there was plenty of storage for suitcases & clothes (which is a bonus...

We arrived well before check-in, due to our flight, and weren't able to get in the room early as the previous guest hadn't checked-out. However, the manager was proactive in finding us another room so we could get some much needed rest. The room was a bit outdated but was still comfortable and clean. There was also a good selection...

This was the only hotel in Santa Monica that offered a room large enough for our family for under $200/night. The room was very clean and the service was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was good. We used this as a base to explore the Santa Monica pier and, further north, Malibu.

When you travel to Santa Monica as often as I do you find out that there is little good available between $200 and $400 and something in the $100 to $150 range that is safe and clean is an even bigger challenge. We had a bad experience at this Comfort Inn many years ago and to this date my wife...

The hotel was convenient. The room was comfortable and clean. The water pressure was extremely weak (most hotels have weak water pressure in the shower and sink but this was pretty bad). You could hear people walking in the room above you. And the wi-fi was so slow that the webpages constantly timed out. The price was a bit much...

My son (college student) and I stayed 4 nights and found this hotel a good bang for the buck. Yes, we would have loved being on the ocean but hotel prices are crazy expensive anywhere close. The $1 bus worked for us although we seemed to "just miss it" every time so it is not always on schedule. Our room...

We were recommended by a Californian couple we met on a previous holiday to stay in Santa Monica for the first few days of our big USA roadtrip. They were not wrong in their recommendation as we found it the perfect base. OK it is a little more expensive than other areas in LA but for the most part it...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
