We visit Santa Paula a couple of times a year and always stay here, for the location and for the charm. The spacious lobby and the other public areas feature 1930's movie posters in a neat arts & crafts style. The rooms, while quite serviceable, are a conglomeration of refurbishing efforts that weren't very well done. I figured that a...

We had a wedding at this facility. The bride was beautiful and the groom was handsome!!! As far as the Glen Tavern Inn knowing what to do for a wedding they were horrible. If you don't know what to do don't go to them for advice they will be rude and don't know. Never will we recommend this place for...

It is an old historic property, so the rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean and the front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. The faucets in the bathroom had different knobs for the hot and cold, which was rather amusing. Supposedly it is haunted, which makes the place very interesting. There is no pool, but the...

We recently stayed at the Glen Tavern Inn the weekend of our daughter's wedding. Our guests filled the hotel with the exception of three rooms reserved for the balloon festival operators. The property's main assets for us were: 1) charming and unique ambience and on the historic registry (also supposedly haunted), 2) a beautiful, large lobby (see photos) that facilitated...

We stayed at the Glen Tavern Inn on a Thursday night. We booked the King/Jacuzzi room and upon arrival were upgraded to the Penthouse Suite! Awesome! This hotel will celebrate 100 years next spring. Lots of charm. Ask for the Penthouse Suite. Terrazzo marble on the floors and beautiful granite counters in the bathroom and entertainment bar. Microwave, fridge as...

I went to the hotel and couldn't get a room until noon. Went back and checked in. The room was very dark, and I had to prop the shades behind the chairs to let in light. The canapy over the bed was very, very dusty. The towels looked paper thin. I sat in the one chair near the window and...

This is a cute place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I gave this place such a low score simply because I felt like I was too tall to stay at this inn. The room was advertised as 2 queen beds, not so, they were doubles. Perhaps in 1911 they were considered queens, but people have consumed...

What a great find! We were looking for an economical place to spend the night, but not be boring. The Glen Tavern was perfect for us. It is full of character and steeped in history. Our room was predictably small (the hotel is 100 years old) but had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The in-room coffee was...

Stayed here while in town for a wedding. The building is charming but everything in it needs an upgrade. The rooms have the potential to be wonderful, but again tired and worn out. Any renovations that have been made are cheap and poorly done. The worst thing was that the entire place was DIRTY. the carpets looked like they were...

We Chose GLEN TAVERN INN for a location on a feature film shoot after searching for several weeks in Los Angeles and around Southern California. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. Monica, the Manager was particularly helpful in meeting our needs and providing a reasonable rate for booking entire floors. Built in the early 1900's, the GLEN TAVERN INN...
