Cavallo Point occupies the former Fort Baker, and many of the rooms are former quarters of the soldiers; however do not let that fool you in to thinking they are not plush accommodations! Our room was plenty large enough for the 2 of us, and had a nice large bathroom as well as

This was a gorgeous location! We were able to check in early which was amazing. However, we should have been informed that the restaurant/bar had a limited menu (no oven or grill). We found out from another guest in the spa. We had been looking forward to a meal there after

Dear Shannontucker, I am sorry for the dining inconveniences you encounter during your stay. Our kitchen is indeed under a major remodel that will be finalized in March. In the meantime we do have an oven and grill but for a couple of days the hoods were out of service (unplanned emergency) which caused the kitchen not to be able to use the oven and grill. That problem has been solved and I sincerely hope you have a chance to visit us again once we open our brand new kitchen. Kind regards, Brendan

Stayed for a few days for Christmas 2018 for a local holiday getaway with the family. While the location and the grounds are fantastic, I would have to suggest that the rest (read "service") was extremely nominal, especially given the rate that you pay for the rooms. They

This was my third visit to San Francisco. On a previous trip, I had walked past Cavallo Point and loved the location and so decided to stay here on my latest visit. I was drawn to the hotel mainly because of the location and secondly because the buildings are ex-military and

We had a room in the new section up on the hill with breath taking views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The room was impecable, very confortable bed and nice linens. What caught my eye was that there was no plastic anywhere in the room. The water in the room, instead of plastics

Our 2 bedroom historic suites have a king bed in one bedroom, a queen size bed in another bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room that converts into a queen size bed. We also have our two bedroom loft with 2 twin beds in one room, a king bed in another room and the pull out couch in the living room, this would be a great room for your family. Please call our Reservation Department (415) 339-4700 for further details. Thank you for your interest in Cavallo Point.

I don't know about the dinner on the beach and tequila tasting. But Sausalito has good restaurants by the water close to the lodge, it's almost close to the water. Plenty of restaurants closeby in Sausalito if you like seafood. Apart from that the spa is amazing and you can fish close to the lodge. Please contact NANCY DUBOIS at Cavallo point lodge. She is the concierge manager there, very helpful lady. She should be able to help you out.

If you want a good price then Look for Motels. They are much cheaper and you can find many in the city or as the earlier responder said along Hwy 80 or Hwy 1

Dear Karoline, We do not have bicycles available to rent at Cavallo Point but we do have wonderful places to rent bicycles about 5-10 minutes away from our lodge in downtown Sausalito. Yours Sincerely, Brendan Carlin General Manager
