Unfortunately we could only stay on night at the Inn above the tide. But we will return. From check in to check out it was perfect. We had a wonderful room with a view of San Francisco. The room was small but adequate. The staff was very nice and the location was wonderful.

I cannot say enough good things about this small, boutique hotel located right on the water in Sausalito. The hotel is an oasis of calm in busy Sausalito, steps from the ferry to San Francisco and a five minute drive from the Golden Gate Bridge. Its proximity to the Marin Headlands and Sonoma and Napa is a plus. We reserved...

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Sausalito built directly over the waters of the bay. The service from the staff was very good and the rooms small but elegant and comfortable. It is quite expensive but has provided wonderful memories of our stay in the San Francisco area. The ferry to downtown San Francisco and the...

After struggling finding a suitable hotel in SF we decided to look for hotels in Sausalito. We decided to go 'all in' and choose #1 hotel on TA, and what a good decision! We booked four nights in their room with two queen beds (3rd floor). The room has no terrace but a magnificent view (like all other rooms in...

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We arrived late in the afternoon a bit hungry & there was a nice wine & cheese spread available. We got our plate & went out to our wonderful balcony & enjoyed the refreshments. Our room was small but we didn't care it had everything we needed & was tastefully decorated in subtle colors...

We had the opportunity to stay here as a romantic get away without the kids. The location is wonderful as it is right on the water with best views ever of bay and San Francisco skyline. We kept the deck door open all night so we could hear the fog horns and birds. Got up early to watch the most...

This was a fabulous hotel experience. We flew into Oakland from New Mexico and stayed 5 nights -- Sunday through Thursday. We splurged and hired a local Sausalito limo (Strawberry Limosine) to pick us up at the Oakland airport and to take us to the airport from the hotel for departure. It was a little more than a cab but...

Fabulous! You must go! Best view ever of San Francisco and the Bay. Easy walking distance to restaurants & art galleries in Sausalito. Can also take Ferry to San Fran to spend the day. We loved it and will be back.

We loved our two nights staying in a room right on the bay - it was especially lovely as we had just arrived from the UK and were up very early to watch the sun rise over the water. The breakfast was really good (don't miss the quiche) and they were very accommodating for our requests for coffee at strange...

The bed was superb, the pillow was enormous and cushy, the view was spectacular, the service was warm and gracious. All in all an excellent, if pricey, place to stay. The town is pretty boring though.
