I honestly don't know how this motel would charge $250/night, even during peak season. I am not hard to please and honestly don't expect any extravagance or amenities when staying anywhere, but this place needs a serious upgrade. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, old stained mattress, cigarette burns in the comforter. Unless you are paying under $100 tops a...

4 of us girls spent the weekend at the Palomar Inn and had a lovely time. It was like being in a 2bdrm cottage. Clean and pleasant. Close to alot of things including a good brewery across the street and nice cafe shop next door. I would stay here again.

I have stayed at The Palomar Inn three times and have been happy with the value for my dollar. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The hotel staff have always been friendly and helpful. Be aware that the nightly rate is dictated by the area being a heavy tourist area. In the off season (winter) the rate are...

I stopped by Shell Surf shop and told the nice and pretty lady there I was in town for the night. She recommend the Palomar Inn. What the heck, gave it a shot being the Vacancy sign was on. I couldn't have beaten the price, that's for sure. If you just need a place to lay your head and shower?...

The room we were given was ancient. The fan did not work, there was a bulb missing and the wifi also did not work in our room. When I tried to complain to the manager, she talked over me and refused to listen to anything I said. I was then told I had an attitude and that my friend and...

I needed to find a place on the spur of the moment and after quickly viewing their photos online I booked a room there. Unfortunately, the photos I saw must have been of their nicer rooms. My room was decorated in Goodwill style furniture and was tiny but clean. The WiFi was too weak so I couldn't use my iPad....

I almost want to keep this gem a secret. I was favorably impressed with the cleanliness, amenities, price, and especially the location. The rooms are tiny, but comfortable and quiet. The only problem was the cable TV and WiFi were not operating during my stay. Otherwise, I look forward to another stay at the Palomar.

We stayed here and we loved just how close it was to the beach. It was also a good price. Loved that it was also close to restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was very friendly. Liked the fact that the pier was just a short drive away.

We arriwed 4th of July in the afternoon, late because of GPS misleading. Our "land lady" was wating for us, she was Very Nice and friendly. Our "appartment" had Two rooms with Two big beds. Clean rooms. We were recommended dinner at Zorro's cafe and cantina; an excellent local restaurant where we enjoied dinner and breakfast. Beautiful surrondings. Recommended.
