My husband and I just spent a most awesome overnight stay at the Rainbow Lodge in Soda Springs California. This place is quaint and quiet. The entire staff is there to see that your stay is most memorable. Each and every staff member is upbeat, with a smile on their faces and they really enjoy their jobs of attending to...

This is not and does not pretend to be a four star hotel - what this is is a wonderful geust house with a phenomenally friendly staff. Don't expect a TV, don't expect wi-fi. But you will find that the hotel staff are amongst the friendliest you will encounter. We were made to feel very much at home. The lodge...

Charming! We had a very good experience. Staff welcomed and treated us like family. The lodge is old world beautiful - master craftsman. For dinner I can recommend their chicken teriyaki with wild rice and fresh cooked carrots. Yum. We enjoyed the free breakfast at this B&B which was substantial, including fresh baked muffins. My husband said to mention the...

A beautiful place inside and out, the Rainbow Lodge is excellent! The staff was wonderful to my family and little girl Willow. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The lodge itself is full of history, and if you are looking for a place to recharge and escape...

My husband and I rented the Bridal Suite for our 10 year anniversary last Friday. We paid for 2 nights and left after the first night. We and a lot of our friends have been going there for years. Never again. It would have been nice to have a small bottle of champagne in our room, but they are too...

We often stop by here for lunch on our way to Reno from the bay area. The food and service has always been good and worth the visit. Not this time. I had not checked the reviews on Tripadvisor before this visit. It seems this business has changed hands and not for the better. We arrived a 1PM for lunch....

My husband made reservations at the Rainbow Lodge because it was close to where we were going to attend a party & we did not want to drink & drive. For years we've driven past the Rainbow Lodge sign on Hiway 80 the way to Lake Tahoe & he thought it would be romantic. He thought he was reserving a...

We've been going to west lake, Tahoe city, Homewood for 20 years now and every year it seems to get more ridiculous. Everything is getting expensive and all the "old tahoe" places are getting ripped down and replaced with gaudy over the top mansions. This weekend, we stumbled upon the Rainbow Lodge and what a breath of fresh air it...

Recently stayed at Rainbow Lodge with my parents for a quick ski trip. My mom found a great deal for this place: one night stay was about $100 and included yummy breakfast and two trail passes to Royal Gorge cross country ski resort (We redeemed them and had a wonderful time). The hotel is a very old building, I think...

My husband and I stopped for brunch. This place could be so charming with a little TLC. It has a lot of character but its hidden under neglect and dirt. The carpet in the dining room is filthy (back dining room). The decor is very dated and old and dirty. The only attempt at sprucing it up amounted to a...
