This is an older boutique inn located on the town square, Sonoma Plaza. Don't plan on spending much time in your room as there is plenty to do around town. Our room on the third floor was small, but the bathroom was large and had a claw foot tub. The Sonoma hotel has their own soaps and "soaking grains." We...

Older motel that is very clean. Small rooms but when comparing to other gold rush hotels it comes out on top. No parking, just crossiants and pastries for breakfast. Staff not helpful, when asked for a place to eat the lady pointed out there around the plaza. Internet code not given on check in. I find this a nice place...

We had high hopes walking in for this well-situated, 16-room, historic bed-and-breakfast hotel on Sonoma Square. We immediately loved the quirky decor, eclectic period antiques, and low-key ambiance. We weren't looking for a luxury experience, but were disappointed to discover the overall lack of good management and service. Our main peeve was the hotel's refusal to put out breakfast or...

This hotel is a bit different. From other reviews you can see that it is nothing like a chain hotel. It is nothing like your high end hotel. You are made to feel welcome the minute you cross the threshold. There is no lift - so you either carry large bags up at least one flight of stairs or you...

If you're looking for quaint, this is for you! I stayed at this hotel for two nights a week ago. It was just what I was looking for; a quaint hotel that was not a chain and in a great location. I was not disappointed! It was located on the square so I could walk to everything. Free parking was...

We've stayed at the Sonoma Hotel before, and enjoyed it. But this weekend was not enjoyable - hot weather, AC not working. Staff was not helpful at all in addressing the problem (we were told that "Mike had changed the filters", which obviously had nothing to do with it). Understand that any small, unique property may mean some lesser level...

A simple hotel but a lovely room and excellently located. Free street parking in the road adjacent and breakfast and wifi were included for us. We also arrived in time for a free glass of afternoon wine.

The Sonoma Hotel exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, right on the square, for access to restaurants (including the Girl & the Fig - our favorite!), shops and wine tasting. We stayed in room 1, on the first floor. Loved the high ceilings, extremely comfy bed and decent-sized bathroom. We enjoyed delicious pastries from a local bakery, orange juice and coffee...

I loved everything about this small hotel! We wanted to stay in Sonoma on the end of a San Fran trip and this place was perfect. It is located right on the central square with easy access to wine tasting, a lovely park, restaurants, and shops. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building that has been carefully decorated. We...

The hotel is lovely and very authentic. It is nice to find a room which does not look like international standardized room. All furniture are unique, which is nice. Hotel is also very well located. We loved it.
