We stayed one night here after visiting a few of the wineries. The grounds are so beautiful! Check in was easy & quick. The staff was excellent. Our room was spacious and awesome! The bathroom... awe! I could have stayed in the shower forever! They offer local toiletries. They smelled so good I went to buy some! They offer a... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 26 July 2016

My wife & I stayed here in a Deluxe Suite for 2 nights in July this year whilst touring Northern California. The welcome at Reception was warm, friendly and informative. Our suite was spacious, well furnished, clean and comfortable and the large en-suite had a separate toilet, was stocked with quality amenities and had a separate bath & shower. The... More

Of course the grounds are lovely and extensive, and for the most part employees are polite and helpful. The continental breakfast included in the room rate was fine if a bit high in sugary offerings. The restaurant Saddles with its club like atmosphere serves fine meat dishes that would make vegetarians cringe. But it also has an outstanding bar and... More

We have spent another delightful week here at MacArthur Place. With family nearby, this is our 'go to' place. Again, the room was wonderful. We enjoyed a nightly fire in our room. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning. The Veranda each morning was lovely. We developed a nice relationship with Dorjee that was helpful. She recommended spots. The... More

Just passing through so arrived late and left early. Charming arrival experience. Great wine tasting on arrival. We took the basic room but it's super spacious and tastefully furnished. The accom is a series of quad-plexes (two up two down) rather than a big hotel building, which I much prefer Good food at Saddles restaurant. We just had bar food... More

MacArthur Place is a perfect place to stay for a couples weekend. Really nice, private rooms and close to everything. Easy access to Napa and walking distance to great restaurants in the Sonoma square. Most staff was awesome with the curious exception of the hostess for the wine reception in the library. Very curt and borderline rude. Overly chatty to... More

Could not have asked for a more tranquil, relaxing stay for our first trip to wine country. We used MacArthur Place as our home base as we toured Napa and Sonoma counties...Our only regret of our stay, we did not take more time to enjoy the beautiful grounds, relaxing spa, delicious Saddles, nor relax in our lovely suite...we did imbibe in... I booked 6 days at the MacArthur so I could recharge my batteries and celebrate theThanksgiving holiday with my West coast children. I whole heartedly recommend that you visit at least once in your lifetime, and book your visit directly with the experts here at the MacArthur. I began through Bookings.com and after speaking with the folks at the MacArthur... More

I've previously stayed at the Sonoma Mission Inn, which was very nice, but is right on a major road. So this time we chose MacArthur Place. It is very pricey but very nice. White wooden, 2 story buildings with lush gardens. The room was quiet, although in 37 Cedar we could hear the occupant below us snoring all night once... More

I really enjoyed this hotel. My room was large. It is very quiet. It is unique. Each building seems to be laid out differently with some interesting art on the grounds. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the main square.
