The Swiss Hotel is very old. It isn't fancy but that is what I like. It is comfortable and at ease. We have stayed in two different rooms and they are both charmingly furnished and quite comfortable. I do recommend staying in one of the rooms away from the street if you are a light sleeper. The bar noise can...

It's great to spend a weekend in Sonoma wine tasting and not empty your wallet. We chose the Swiss Hotel because it has preserved its authentic feel .. rather than a generic upgrade. The hotel must have been here since the 1800's .. creaky wooden floors and all. Super nice and helpful receptionist .. we had a king room (has...

We were told when I booked that the rooms were on the second floor over a bar. I actually did not have any trouble falling asleep. I did wake a little after midnight and could hear voices. It was not obnoxious, but it was noticeable. We had room 4 which is large and has French doors to the front balcony...

When we booked the hotel the receptionist kindly advised us that the rooms were all over a bar/restaurant and therefore the noise might be an issue. It was very thoughtful of the management to warn us in advance, but we didn't find any troubling noise even though our room was directly over the outside bar area. Our charming room was...

We traveled to Sonoma after my brother's wedding in October. We were a little hesitant at first since the hotel does not really have a website for the hotel portion. But we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is mainly known for the bar and restaurant downstairs (which has excellent food). We stayed in a King bed...

We stayed two nights as part of a twelve day holiday in California. This hotel was recommended to us by a family member and it did not disappoint. When we booked we were warned about noise in the rooms from the bar downstairs but I am a heavy sleeper and I actually found all the laughing and good time being...

We stayed for one night in September while travelling through California on our honeymoon. The hotel is fairly old, and pretty charming. The staff were helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was great, and had lots of variety. The room itself was large, however the floors were pretty slanted and the linens smelled kind of musty. It was fairly loud...

I was on a wine your from Sam Francisco and the your stopped at Sonoma square for lunch. I went straight to Swiss hotel at the recommendation from our guide. I sat at the bar and the bartender and his wife were such a pleasure! Talking with them was the highlight of the meal. The butternut squash ravioli and number...

Lovely small hotel.. Only 5 rooms. Very quaint, clean, comfortable. Nice second floor porch in which to rest and watch the world go by. Great old bar off of lobby and the dining room has nice ambiance with a beautiful outdoor seating area . We found all the staff very helpfull and welcoming. If you are lucky enough to get...

This place is on the historic register of buildings. it was built around 1905, a winery/home and then hotel. That is the charm of the place, it leans a little, squeaks when you walk around on it, and speaks volume's about its history. So don't be expecting the Hilton. Every thing in the place works and it is a great...
