Call it charming or quirky, Gunn House offers a unique stay loaded with history. My room on the side of the hotel on the first floor (European system used here, 0, 1 and 2) was quiet mid-week. This is an old building, so the floors slant and the stairs are steep. I found it easiest to hike up the driveway...

The rooms were comfortable and charming with their vintage decorating. Breakfast was wonderful, definitely not your typical "free breakfast" -- delicious hot choices along with the standard fare. The veranda with rockers, and outside grounds in general, were lovely and very pleasant. Only negative was that it seemed overpriced for Sonora -- especially given that we were staying on a...

Probably the best Hotel I've stayed at so far, in a lovely little historic town. The rooms are all unique and anyone who is into antique decor will go crazy over this place! Very clean, and cozy. The hotel is located right on the main street of Old town Sonora, and you are within a very short walking distance from...

If you are looking for a down home charming place to stay with surprises around every corner, this is the place for you. Lots to explore and a nice breakfast in the morning. Sonora stores are just down the block. A Lovely place to stay. If you have trouble with hills and stairs, this may be a little tricky to...

This is a lovely little hotel in downtown Sonora. The rooms a very nice, comfortable and very clean. The best part of the hotel is the friendly staff and breakfast! Breakfast is (mostly) cooked or baked on site and so very fresh and very delicious. The hotel has kind of a gold rush theme that adds to the charm

Office closes at 8pm in the winter, so I received a call from someone to confirm we were arriving, and what to do if the office was closed. You can pull in right in front of the office to check in, then park in back or in the lot next to the building- whichever is closer to your room/more convenient....

We stayed at the Gunn House after a day of snow skiing. I had stayed at the hotel as a young boy about 50 years prior. I made our reservations over the phone about 15 minutes prior to our arrival. The call taker at the Gunn House was very friendly and easy to speak with. On arrival we met Tracy...

Cutest little hotel I've stayed at in years. Loved the sitting porch and the breakfast room. Everything had a personal touch and the staff was great. I will hands down stay there again next time I'm in the area.
