It is an easy walk to shops and restaurants on the same two lane main street. Large, well functioning wall TV. Standard continental juice, muffins, cereal; coffee, tea, and hard boiled egg breakfast. Funky old fashioned elevator as well as stairs. Two patios for outdoor sitting. Free parking behind hotel in their sister motel's lot. Helpful desk staff always evident....

Located in downtown Sonora, this small hotel is an excellent way to soak up Gold Country ambience without sacrificing comfort. The lobby and breakfast room (a rather minimal continental breakfast is included in the room rate) are beautifully decorated; I particularly enjoyed several ornate old telephones in the lobby. The rooms also have nice period features, but unlike some restored...

Unless you can afford to stay in the larger suites on the third floor I wouldn't bother. The other rooms are small and whilst they are advertised as newly renovated it was actually 4 years ago when they were done! The noisiest WC flush I have ever heard. The rooms are also noisy, being in the centre of town. But...

Stayed with an old friend here and had a delightful time. The hotel is an antique but has been somewhat renovated and the air conditioning, on a very hot day, was second to none. Also, the beds and pillows were fantastically comfortable. All was clean and fresh as well. The elevator will scare the pants off of you as it...

This was the only hotel I could find that still had a room and would take my little dogs. Was't crazy about the price which was over $280 per night but we were exhausted and in need of food and rest. Ended up in room 300 which is a king Suite. The room was very nice, nicer than I expected...

We stayed here on our way to Yosemite. It's a really nice place to stay in a little town, right on main street. It's mostly nicely renovated, but still retains historical atmosphere. One thing they could upgrade are the bathrooms, they are clean, but you can see the years of use. The bed was comfortable, the staff was professional and...

This old Inn is located at the beginning of the main street in Sonora, close to all the restaurants and bars. It shares the parking with a nearby motel. The common parts, including lobby and corridors look renovated, but still maintain the charme of the old days. The old style elevator was impressive. There is a small outdoor swimming pool...

This is a perfectly fine little hotel for a stop on the way to from Yosemite or on the hiway 49 Trek. Rooms were remodeled--nothing special but we don't get the negative review we saw. Maybe written before the remodel? Room was a bit musty. Staff was friendly and location is good if you want to explore old town Sonoma.
