We had a wonderful time here for the New Year's weekend. It is close to everything and so reasonably priced! Our dog had a fantastic time too! Jackie, the 65 lb lab, was welcomed everywhere we went! She enjoyed the Lake's trails and the dog park behind the hotel. We cannot wait to come back! (It is true that the...

We stay at this place 2 to 3 times per year. They are located in the heart of Tahoe City and the lake is across the street. It is quiet and the rooms are cute, clean and comfortable and not over priced. They allow pets and staff are attentive and friendly. What more could anyone ask for???? Love this place.

Nothing really bad to say...if you are looking for a 'white towel' experience, this is not the place for you. I would never stay here if I didn't have a dog with me. My room had a heavy dog urine odor - I bought a Yankee candle and that fixed that problem lol...bring slippers lol. You cannot beat the location!...

Clean. Friendly staff. Two levels, Backs up to a golf course. This stone-fronted, pitch-roofed 1945 hotel is across the road from Lake Tahoe's Commons Beach. The rustic rooms all have lodge-style decor like log furniture and patchwork quilts or plaid blankets and feature nature and animal-themed furnishings. They all come with WiFi, cable TV, ceiling fans, mini-fridges and coffeemakers. There's...

I found this place on Trip Advisor. Its a bit confusing since its owned by and tucked away behind Cabin Fever. It was perfect for our one night stay while passing through the area. The room was clean, and while it was decorated Cabin Fever style, there was still plenty of space to put our things. The additional touches were...

This is a small hotel that will drop you back to a simpler town. We booked because they were dog friendly, and boy are they. There was a special bed for our dog, his name on the bulletin board and treats to greet him. The beds were comfy as could be. Yes the bathroom is a tad small, but there...

This hidden little gem is tucked behind a store front right across from the lake. It is located in a great area next to shops and restaurants. The rooms are kind of small, but full of charm. It's like being in a cabin, except you're not. Could improve on some of the amenities offered, and is a little overpriced. Would...

I visit Tahoe very often, and have never seen this little place before. We stayed here during Christmas weekend, so surrounding hotel prices were ridiculous. We were glad we found this place. The price was kind of steep for what was offered, but I blame that on the holiday weekend. It was in a great location. There were many shops...

...really enjoyed this place. Nice, comfortable rooms. And the place is pet friendly. The staff is very helpful which is always a plus. The hotel is right in the middle of Tahoe City so walking distance to many places to eat and drink. Also, right across the hotel is a nice place to walk dogs. So location wise, this place...

This was a cozy adequate hotel. Nice but not frilly. The shower could use a soap dish desperately and was very small. Very good value for the price and very convenient to all the shops and restaurants in Tahoe City.

“We are senior citizens with 2 large dogs and 1 medium sized dog, so the downstairs rooms were best for us. And just as an aside, the front shop is run by the owners of the motel and has lots of very nice art work, furnishings and bric-a-brac for sale. We bought 2 paintings and a statue while there.”
