The location was very peaceful, just 2 rooms above the local pub in a quiet hamlet reached down a 1 track lane. The room was spacious, well laid out with a superb bathroom. The hosts were excellent , friendly, and helpful. It was convenient for Westonbirt and a few NT sites including Lacock Abbey which is well worth a visit....

The rooms are high quality, extremely clean and comfortable. Loads of space, tea coffee hairdrier, iron etc all here for you. Perfect in the day to go out in the car sightseeing and in the evening come back to relax and eat in the pub. The food is high quality and cooked to perfection. Real friendly relaxing homely pub where...

What a pleasure it is hosting guests such as these and how rewarding to learn that they enjoyed their stay...a true bonus. Lost for words so will just thank them from all of us here at The Horse Guards. We look forward to their return visit later this year.

“Quiet location in the South Cotswolds, with Malmesbury and Tetbury nearby. Beautifully appointed rooms and bathroom. Cleanliness excellent. Comfy bed, good cooked breakfast. Excellent ales in the bar and very friendly and professional staff. Would you want anything more? I liked the quiet bar, with no music in the evening or at breakfast, perfect.

Everything we aspire to be and given extra weight by great guests who we really enjoyed hosting. We always try to emphasise the peace and quiet of our location for those looking to get away from it all. We could not have asked for higher praise from better guests. Thank you from the whole Horse Guards team.

What a lovely place with very friendly accommodating owners. We had a very nice spacious room with ensuite walk in power shower with a great temperature. The bed was comfy and the night peaceful and quiet. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious, very well presented and the breakfast in the morning was fab!! A really nice...

We spent three nights at the horse guards in October in the blue room. It's very spacious and has everything you need. It's conveniently located from the pub with a separate entrance. Arthur was only happy to help at all times. We ate in the pub one of the evenings which was very nice. The pie of the day was...

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night and we were not disappointed. The room was immaculately presented, clean comfortable and with every need catered for. The walk in shower bathroom was fantastic and again immaculate. There are only two rooms here, so it is very quiet which was very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and the meal...

We may be lost for original ways of thanking guests such as these for their very kind words but that doesn't mean we are any the less grateful for their stay or review. Thank you from the whole Horse Guards. It was a pleasure being of service to these great guests.

Loved the location - it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere because I suppose it is. But around five minutes in the car gets you to Malmesbury if you're after a town. Great rooms. They feel spacious and modern but still have a lot of character. Especially the one we stayed in (with the nice wooden beams). Decent...

Sums up our location perfectly, guaranteed peace and quiet but all the south Cotswolds has to offer on your doorstep. In addition to receive such positive feedback about their actual stay with us (Notwithstanding the lack of high chairs for which we have absolutely no storage space) is real icing on the cake. Thank you from a very appreciative Horse...

I booked a night here as a valentines surprise for my girlfriend. We arrived and were greeted by the owners who were very friendly, and shown to the lovely room we had booked. The room is beautiful, both modern but still with period features. We elected to take advantage of the restaurant in the pub and were not disappointed, the...

It was our pleasure hosting these guests and I am sure that had we seen more of them we would have enjoyed their company more. As it is we host a large number of guests attending local weddings etc. and often see little of them other than at check in and breakfast/check out. This was our loss but we really...
