The staff and innkeeper are very helpful , friendly and nice. The area is one of the most beautiful along the north coast . We stayed in the humming bird cabin very, very clean on the inside, tables and chairs clean , bathroom clean, bed and sheets smelled fresh and clean. Great location to use as a base to see all the...

Expected a 2 bdrm. W/ kitchen. Got one bdrm. And the kitchen is locked up ??? Lounge is supposed to have a microwave but, uh, no. No fridge, spoiled food, no where to heat up dinner. Wi-if non existent. Not what we thought we were paying for.

If you want a nice quiet rustic place to stay in Humboldt this is it. Cute little cabins with kitchenettes and very clean. The Innkeeper and staff are friendly and not intrusive which I appreciate. If you visit treat yourself to the scenic drive that goes south from the Lodge along the coast with amazing isolated beaches. A great place...

Quaint, charming and comfortable sums up our visit. Our room (The Hummingbird) was exactly as advertised - warm, cozy & clean. Our stay was a little impromptu and we didn't have a great deal of time to research where to stay. So when I called to inquired about availability and pricing, I was greeted with warm responses and a pleasant...

Rustic, older, quiet cabins with beautiful landscaping, birds, and forest in a lovely location, clean and well equipped. Truly charming, with quirks and maintenance challenges, but lovingly cared for, with a wonderful individualized, relaxing feel, and a very welcoming owner who loves it just as much.

I would have loved to stay longer- however our time did not permit- The cabin was snuggled in the Redwoods, it was so peaceful and cozy- The cabin was squeaky clean with simple amenities, the woodwork inside was beautiful. Just over all comfortable, clean and peaceful. The only negative that does not affect my rating is; The owner does not...

I stayed in the Hummingbird cabin and it was nice and clean; for the price you can't beat it. The linens were dated, but overall the place was well kept. The bed was very comfortable, and the dining table and chairs in the room was very convenient. The staff does not enter your cabin during your stay, you just put...

We were really excited to stay here after seeing their web site, but it smelled so heavily of disinfectant that we all got headaches, and it didn't go away over the 3 days we were there. The woman who checked us in was rude to us. The cabin was not maintained well: the floors were uneven, the paint pealing, and...

Major Dissapointment! We have stayed here many times over the last 25 years, sometimes for a full week, tried all of the cottages. It is now not being maintained properly, in a total state of disrepair. There are no beautiful gardens as in the pictures of years ago. Pealing paint everywhere, our cottage smelled (sewer problem?), it also smelled of...

This is the place to stay if you are planning an excursion to Redwood National Park. It is tucked away in the woods and very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The owner Jane couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was pleasant. I would definitely stay here again. Close to Hwy 101, downtown Trinidad and...
