Booked this place because of the great reviews here - thanks again Tripadvisor for this amazing find. We loved our one night stop here and wished we could spend more time here chilling with the sea lions. We loved the 4-6pm happy hour (tip: they keep the wine out for even longer). The Inn also keeps a copy of delivery...

The Lost Whale Inn was our home base for our first visit to the Redwoods. There couldn't have possibly been a better choice. What a spot! For exploring the Redwoods, this is a great location. Redwoods National and State Parks are just to the north, the Lost Coast drive is just to the south and you can walk to Patrick's...

My husband and I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to the west coast to explore Seattle down to the Redwoods. We made a tentative plan to drive from Portland to Trinidad and stay at Lost Whale for one night then drive back the next day thinking that we would enjoy the cities better. From the moment we arrived,...

Wonderful place to stay near Redwood National Park. Beautiful ocean view from our room. Woke up to the sound of sea lions. Amazing included dinner and breakfast. Very kind staff took care of all our needs and then some.

We stayed at the Lost Whale Inn in mid March, myself, my husband, and our 20 year old son. The Beluga Whale room was so perfect, with a loft and a queen size bed for our son. Rarely when we travel together does he get his own space! We had a balcony looking out at the ocean, where we saw...

Everything was amazing, we couldn't of had a better time. The food the staff the view, all were great. I love that the menu changed night to night, and that our host honestly went above and beyond for our comfort. We missed breakfast (something you should never do) because we were on FL time and ready to go by 6am...

Amazing property. Such spectacular views. I've stayed here a couple of times, and both times were so overwhelmingly magical. If you can afford it, the 50 dollar bump to the ocean facing rooms is very worth it. Even if you can't, though, the living room downstairs has just as magical of a view outside. The entire staff is so friendly...

We were able to snag a last minute reservation for two nights at this terrific b&b. Our room, the Humpback Whale room was clean and comfortable. We arrived around 5:30pm and were greeted by Brian who steered us toward the great room, where snacks and wine were a welcoming sight. A fire had been lit in outside fire pit which...

We truly enjoyed our two night stay at the Lost Whale Inn. What more could you ask than a beautifully maintained B&B on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Staff was amazingly courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. The pointed us to wonderful hiking and amazing restaurants. The breakfast both mornings was delicious and the chef ensured food sensitivities were properly addressed....
