Good rooms (not as luxury as I thought), but clean, spacious and cozy. The staff is very nice and helpful. Great views. Close to the village of Northstar. I loved the smores by the firepit! My Kids were happy playing in the snow just outside the lobby. Valets helped us with driving in snowy conditions. We stayed at other hotels...

During October I made a last minute trip to the Ritz Carlton with my wife and was truly impressed with the facilities and service at the Lake Tahoe facility. We've stayed at other Ritz Carlton facilities and always appreciate the attention to detail but this one was special. First I should warn you that the hotel is located away from...

We stayed at the Ritz during the off season, but absolutely loved our stay. It's amazing how little details make such a difference. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The linen doesn't smell like nasty laundry soap it instead smells nice, as if it was sprayed with lavender during turn down service. The...

If you want to be on a nicer hotel near Lake Tahoe, this is the one. The ski lifts are a few feet away and It is near downtown Truckee too. You can hike and mountain bike during summer time, it has good restaurants, a spa and a gym if you so inclined.

I took my senior manager team here in the fall. Facilities were amazing, people were great. the town of Truckee is a nice little mountain town. I will be back later and hope to ski! The spa was good as well. I just wish they could hold regular exercise classes.

This was our second time visiting Ritz Carlton Lake. We had a lot of issues during our first visit. Despite all the problems we wanted to come back. Unfortunately, our second time wasn't too pleasant. Upon the check in front desk agent did not acknowledge that it was out second time visiting this resort. She was very cold and it...

I've stayed in hotels around the globe, but this place is like a slice of heavenly pie. The staff was exceptional. The setting is incredible and the amenities are beyond first rate. One of the best fitness centers I've seen seen. Out of 5 stars this place is a 6!

This is a modern ski-lodge in eye-friendly, naturalistic colors, with fireplaces in the common-areas. The location is beautiful, on a mountainside surrounded by pine woods. There is a ski village below (NorthStar), and complimentary car-service to it. There is valet parking, but pricey. There is a large dining room, with a comfortable feel to it, with a gourmet selection of...

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing spot to celebrate a 40th birthday in October. We drove up from the bay area on a saturday morning after booking with Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts. I called ahead to both the resort and Amex to check in about the complimentary upgrade and was told (per usual) by Amex that there are...

It's the Ritz. It's everything one looks for at the Ritz. The service is superior; the staff are exceptional. The hotel itself is gorgeous upon arrival but take note that in the winter you do need a 4-wheel drive to get up it's 2-mile Highland road. The property is adjacent to Northstar Village and provides a ski-in ski-out lodging experience....
