We loved our stay at this place. All the staff (with the exception of a few of the pool server staff) were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious at the restaurant Manzanita for breakfast and for dinner. It is well-located next to Northstar for hiking in the summer; the upper mountain is open (some lifts are running) on...

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and had a truly wonderful time! We notified the hotel in advance that we were on our honeymoon and the staff made us feel very special and welcomed. Our room was fabulous, bed was huge and very comfortable with beautiful, luxurious bed linen. Complimentary mineral water and as much of it as...

This is likely more popular in the winter as a ski destination but we found it very relaxing in August. Weather was perfect - 70s during th day and 40a at night. about a 20 minutes drive from the lake if you want to do water activities. The service in this hotel is outstanding even by Ritz standards. Everyone was...

This is an exquisitely well run establishment, and in my view impossible to fault. The resort itself is fabulous - the buildings fit effortlessly into the surrounding countryside, which in itself is spectacular. It feels cosy and warm in its environment. The public areas of the hotel are wonderfully furnished and very relaxed. Our room was extremely well appointed: wonderfully...

First off, the property is beautiful and the staff across the board were very friendly and helpful. Our only issue with staff was at check-in, where the clerk did a poor job of explaining our stay benefits. In fact, she just read verbatim from our welcome letter, which was a bit amateur. We stayed in a Club king, and the...

For the last two summers, we have stayed in more rustic accomodations by the lake for the first two nights and then followed it up with a couple of more nights in luxury at the Ritz Carlton. While we can appreciate both "roughing it" and being spoiled (and so does the dog), there is nothing better than rolling into the...

I REALLY love the bathtubs here! I am tall with long legs, and these tubs are perfect. Up to my chin in comfort and water and my legs stretched out blissfully! When our darling maid found out I liked to soak, she left me lots of shower gel I could squeeze into the running water. Made for a delightful bubble...

Ritz-Carlton is my favorite hotel brand but whenever I am traveling with my family and staying at a RC, I'm usually uncomfortable in the club room, pool areas etc with my outgoing child. It's not that other RCs are not family friendly, it's just that there usually aren't any other kids around and other guests give you that look...... At...

We arrived at the Tahoe Ritz coming from San Francisco and the place was a slice of heaven. The staff were over the top accomadative to our family. Checked us in early, helped provide suggestions on local activities, and showed us around the grounds. I arrived very stressed from our many miles of travel having originated in San Diego, but...

First, in full disclosure the hotel sent me an email survey and upon receipt of my reply I was sent a personal and most apologetic reply from their Director of Operations which included an offer for one free night stay should we decide to return. That is exemplary customer service. The Ritz-Carlton may be the victim of their own doing...
