My sweetie had long wished to stay here and we were excited to go. We made our reservation with a really nice young woman by phone, and we knew since we were going to be there early in the week, that we were going to be the only guests at the hotel. That said, we arrived at 5:30 pm to... More

We just attended a Wedding and reception afterward. The Gazebo in the back is a lovely place for an outdoor wedding or other type of outdoor reception. It also has an indoor hall for parties. It has a nice bar area as well as a fair sized dance floor. It has outdoor standing tables in a patio area. Overall, the... More

I thought I had left a deposit for two rooms when I called a week-and-a-half ago. I checked on line: no charge on my card for rooms. That would have been a hassle because there was no contact info at the front door to the hotel as promised on their outgoing message. We're staying elsewhere nearby.

When driving along Rte 160 North from Isleton towards Walnut Grove and Sacramento, the area on both sides of the Sacramento River are nostalgic farms producing pears, fruit, grapes, etc. Out of nowhere is a huge water tower and a 3 story, "peach" colored building right along Rte 160. The sign said it was the Ryde Hotel. We just had... More

First let me say the wedding we attended at this venue was wonderful. It was well executed and the staff was friendly and helpful. The one star is for the run down, disgusting hotel, specifically room 310. First upon entering the hotel it obviously needs updating. I knew it was old and its age showed at first entrance to the... This place needs a complete overhaul. If it wasn't for the event taking place here, we would have packed up and trekked all the way home. The Mattress was old and uncomfortable, you could feel the old springs in your back. The covers had stains on them. The bathtub tiles were cracked and broken, the tub was stained yellow. We... More

I've been on ghost tours of this place and nearby Locke (also haunted, as is a sandwich/ice cream shop en route from the hotel). This place has a lot of spirit energy and with the right ghost hunting equipment you can interact with the spirits and get voices or get them to play with your EMF detectors or REM pods.... More

Great little place. We did not stay here. We only came for the brunch. Clean, across from the water. We came by boat. We had the brunch buffet, and it was pretty good. Bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, typical breakfast. Nothing fancy, but good!

We paid for two rooms when we were there for a wedding. It was so bad after we checked in and reluctantly took a shower there, we drove home after the wedding. Gross! We were told we'd have 3 queens and a twin, and were given one queen and one king "pull out bed" ... Wouldn't qualify as a bed.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Perched like a jewel on the Sacramento River, the inviting, peach tone facade of The Ryde Hotel literally stops traffic. The Hotel entrance is through a dramatic front walk-way, covered by a long black and white striped awning. On either side are twin patios fitted out with umbrellas and iron furniture, for al fresco dining. The view sweeps up and down the river and it is apparent even from the road, that this charming Delta hideaway is truly something special. ... more   less
