After weeks of deliberating and writing in to the LA forums, I settled on Petit Ermitage due to a great winter special they were running. We got breakfast, parking, $25pp/day credit and a slightly-upgraded room for $250 (before tax). We rented a car and went everywhere (DTLA, Silver Lake, Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice) and I was glad for those who...

The rooms are great. Service excellent Pool roof terrace area is just beautiful. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed with bohemian inspired decor. Food is very good along with their drinks selection but like all hotels out here, it's not cheap! Traver the manager went out of his way to look after us. I'd definitely come back here...

There's a scam here folks! Check your final invoice... They claimed we had ruined the duvet and so attempted to charge us $500 - yes $500 for something we did not do!! When challenged they were rude, and only had one intention - to move us on! This supposed duvet damaged was then removed from the invoice. Who does this?...

Room 114 is directly above the garage, the sound of which opening and closing frequently began to get very annoying. We stayed 2 nights and raised this issue after the first night but were offered a smaller room, and would have to vacate our current room immediately then wait 4 hours to move to a new room, so we declined....

We loved this quirky, little hotel. Very sweet rooms, great rooftop service, slightly slow elevator and service. But very good dinner and wine and sweet service. Felt very comfortable and private. Rooftop dining room is pretty great!

The Petit Ermitage is a lovely boutique hotel. It's beautifully appointed. Our room was chic yet cozy. The rooftop bar, restaurant and pool area are all spectacular. The gym leaves a little to be desired though.

Rooms have old European flavor. Highlight is rooftop area, nook like dining, pool, unusual lounge area with fireplaces. Can't believe you are in LA. There is an elevator for us older people. If you want a truly new experience, I highly recommend the Petit Ermitage.

I got married here in 2013 in the butterfly sanctuary on the roof, so I'm a little biased to how wonderful this place is. First of all, you can't dine at any of the hotel establishments unless you're a guest- so if you were planning on eating here, book a room. The rooftop alone offers some of the most spectacular,...

Returning for our 2nd visit after two years, we found that the hotel is much less welcoming across the board. Staff is superficially polite but there is no warmth. The property, hallways, rooms are beautiful and well appointed and comfortable. If you are just looking for a good place to stay and sleep you will be just fine. However, it's...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
