We, regrettably, only spent one night at the Sunset Marquis. Hotel with a very laid back vibe, spacious rooms and a stylish garden. Add a few pools, a bar, a restaurant and some rock 'n' roll history and you end up with a very cool, high end hotel. We stayed in the main building and had a twin queen room...

Sunset Marquis is a lovely hotel. Quiet and relaxing. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and despite its rich rock and roll history, it’s not a pretentious hotel. We enjoyed chatting with the bar staff at Bar 1200 before heading out on an evening. The location, just off Sunset, is excellent which makes is walking distance to bars and...

Quiet, beautiful with a fabulous rock n roll history of who's who. We loved that it did not matter who you are, you're a guest. There were "name" guests there who received the same impeccable service as we did. We all interacted with no regard for status. You don't have to be hip and cool. You just have to be....

LOVED it! I love when I stay at a hotel that feels authentic to the location and history of the area. This is one of those places. Very nice staff, details paid attention to and excellent concierge (thanks Carly!). Carly got us last minute tix to The Broad, recommended a great restaurant and solved a shopping dilemma. Great location, spacious...

My vacation stay with Sunset Marquis was excellent. Everyone who worked there, from the bellboys, to the front desk and concierge, were all so kind and helpful. I went there for my 40th birthday and they greeted me with a happy birthday plate ect. Even the valets were kind and attentive. The rooms were large and clean. I have a...

The decor is modern retro. It's history is in rock and roll. It's close to sunset strip. The grounds are well landscaped and the rooms are well appointed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is turndown service. There is a bar and a restaurant and an outside pool.

All other so called 'rock n roll hotels'..including the Hard Rock chain need to simply bow down and praise the Sunset Marquis. It is as much part of music history amd lore as Eric Claptons guitars.. Amazing oasis and a chilled laid back vibe. Great bar. Great restaurant. Villlas are great if you can get a good rate. The revamp...

Stayed two nights here to usher the new year and was pleasantly surprised. Location is great: a few steps away from Mel's and Equinox, right in the heart of trendy West Hollywood, yet quiet and neighborly, it's ideal to feel home away from home. Staff is super friendly! They talk to you like they've known you for a while and...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
