We offer ocean view bed-and-breakfast lodging in a tiny, remote village on the spectacular Mendocino coast. Also home of the Old Abalone Pub, providing Dinners Thursday-Sunday 5-9 pm. Also Saturday afternoon tea from 3-5 pm in an atmosphere that is cozy, casual, and a little bit elegant.
My stay at Westport Hotel was wonderful. The Lodge manager Kayla was so welcoming and treated me like family. The homemade hot scones and coffee (delivered on a silver tray to my room) were the perfect way to start my day followed by a delicious big breakfast downstairs in the charming dining room. Kayla suggested a morning hike along the bluffs that had gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. That night I had perfectly grilled fish tacos and a lovely local wine in the pub. There was live music and a great atmosphere. Later that night I watched a spectacular meteor shower from my balcony. This hotel is a gem and I will definitely come back. Five stars!

Wonderful inn. Very clean, great staff, all friendly and pleasant . We were able to get an early check in which was great so we had time to clean up for a wedding . Bed very comfortable. There’s a little general close that made great sandwich’s . The scones they served in the am were out of this world ! Melt in your mouth ! Breakfast was delicious and we chose the omelets ! My only neg would be sound of the kitchen at 9:30 at night was loud . They have a pub up front that looked nice too . Atmosphere was like a regular home ! Definitely would go back ! Loved it !

We recently took an "ad hoc" trip up the Mendocino Coast and visited the tiny village of Westport. To our pleasant surprise we were able to get a room at the Westport Hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay on the Mendocino Coast I highly recommend this beautiful place! More reasonable than Mendocino or Fort Bragg, and more quaint by far. The restaurant is superb, the bar is fun and the rooms are perfection. We had our own private balcony overlooking the headlands. Recently renovated, this hotel has it all. We wore our bathrobes and slippers thoughtfully provided in our room to walk a couple of doors down the hallway to a sauna. Fantastic heat and plenty of space. It allows you to have a sauna in private with a "Occupied" sign to place on the door. Early morning we were treated to coffee and home made blueberry scones with fresh fruit in our room. Between 9 and 10 they serve breakfast to order in the charming dining area. Windows look out on the ocean everywhere. Frankie the cat stays outside and is incredibly friendly. The manager is charming and extremely helpful. We felt welcomed and pampered. It was truly the perfect B&B experience. Can't wait to get back there! And we own a B&B. We couldn't have done it any better. Thank you for a wonderful time.…

Few places exceed our expectations but the Westport has. Although some bill it as a B&B it is more like an intimate small hotel. The attention to detail is obvious in the decor of the rooms, bathrobes, plush towels and tasteful furnishings. Our king room had a balcony with view of the ocean but there is also seating in the garden and on the front porch of the hotel wit excellent ocean views. A short walk through green space across from the hotel takes you to stairs to a secluded beach unknown to most and largely deserted. A wonderful find pointed out to guests. Morning coffee, scones and jam were delivered outside our room at 08:00 followed by breakfast in the tasteful dining room an hour later. The Westport felt like a little oasis and everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Had I known before hand, I would have stayed longer but we had bookings the next night further up the coast.…

I absolutely loved staying here and will do so again! The rooms are beautiful, clean, and elegant! Debbie at the front desk gladly went out of her way to get me something I needed. The staff were so friendly it felt like I was coming home to family. 10/10 recommend the Westport Hotel!

After a crazy drive south on highway 1, my cousin and I rolled into Westport hoping to find somewhere to stay for the night. You need to know that if you blink, you will miss Westport, which is a few houses along the rocky coast. Luckily, they had two rooms available, and we chose the larger of the two rooms. The room was beautifully furnished with antiques, and beautiful natural fiber linens. A pair of slippers and a bathrobe await you in the armoire, while a loofah srubber awaits you in the bath. On the bedside table, two chocolate sand dollar candies, and a small wildflower arrangment is a lovely detail on the side board. If you want dinner, you can go downstairs for a great meal. In the morning, you will find a tray with coffee, juice, scones and jam to nibble on, before going downstairs for a delicious breakfast-all included in the price of your room. In a time when customer service and attention to detail are vertually a thing of the past, the Westport Hotel is a shining example of the best of travel.…

Fabulous spot on the Northern California coast! We loved this cozy and sweet spot very much. It was extremely comfortable with an awesome view of the Pacific Ocean, a private beach to walk to and delicious food at the Abalone Pub. We will definitely be back!

I booked this for one night for our trip from the Redwoods to LA. As soon as we stepped inside it felt cozy. Our room was lovely and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud We so enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching and listening to the waves crash. There’s a beautiful little beach you can easily access....and eat blackberries all the way there. Dinner at the pub was amazing and the service was excellent. The coffee and scones were so yummy as well as the breakfast. Our stay was so pleasant and relaxing.
