I should have listened to the other reviews. My trip was great yet ended on a horrible note. The reason I chose this location was due to the FREE parking they advertise on thier website, and, well...everywhere. They do NOT offer free parking, because I recieved a $77 ticket for parking in the hotel parking garage. Upon arrival, the staff hands you a map and circles your building, and the area which you can park. They assure you, that "everything is color coded and easy to understand". Here's the problem: When you make your way down into the garage, if you are staying in the WEST building which is marked as "A" on the map they hand you - the elevator section is coded green. If you are staying in the EAST building which is coded "B" on the map they hand you, the elevator section is coded yellow. However, if you are staying the WEST building, you can only park in the yellow A parking and if you are staying in the EAST building, you can only park in the green B parking. Still following? After trying to figure that out (on my own, because the staff doesn't bother to explain this clearly), I understood I needed to park in the yellow A section for my building. I displayed my parking tag as instructed clearly on the rearview mirror. I went through the little gate in the garage, only to see that there was no clearly marked parking for yellow "A", but there was an abundance of green "B" parking. Another thing they do not explain upon check in, is there are only a very limited number of spots availible in the yellow A section - if any - so, any vehicle that is large and takes up 2 spots or anyone who doesn't know how to park, taking up 2 spots, really limits your parking capability. After walking around the garage, trying to figure out how and where I could park, a large truck that was taking up two spots, finally moved out of a yellow "A" section, so I immedietly parked my car there. On either side of my car, I saw nothing but "A" on the concrete columns which had yellow and was near the yellow painted elevator. You can imagine my suprise when we go to leave at the end of my stay, where I discover a parking ticket for $77 on my windshield. Thinking it was a big mistake, I went to the front desk to speak to someone about it and Christina was there. I explained the situation and she assured me that "the HOA always waives the tickets when this happens." She took the ticket from me. I asked for some type of confirmation (she kept taking calls even though I was in front of her, which made me feel like I was bothering her) and she said I could take a photo of the ticket, but she needed the ticket in order to get it waived. She said someone wouldn't be in until Tuesday to confirm that my ticket was voided. Instead, I get a call back from Christina on Monday to inform me via voicemail that the picture on the parking ticket CLEARLY shows I am parked in retail parking and I will need to pay this fine. Are you kidding me? I pay $800+ to stay at this hotel due to the advertised free parking, dispay my parking tag clearly on my mirror, and then I recieve a parking fine for parking in the yellow "A" marked area? Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this location. The map doesn't really match the actual parking situation in the garage, and frankly, it's extremely confusing and not well explained by the staff upon check in. Christina could have taken the time to listen to me, look at the ticket received, reviewing the photo on the ticket as well as my own photos that I offered to show her, but she didn't bother. I felt like I was brushed off in the moment, with every intention of calling me the next day to tell me: too bad, so sad - you have to pay this afterall. What a waste of money and time. Do not stay here unless you plan to pay almost $100 extra for parking fines.…
