Best lodge on the Grand Mesa... we've stayed at two others over the last few years, and this is by far the best. The renovated cabins are great for small groups... kitchen had everything we needed. The staff was kind and helpful. Beautiful setting!

My partner and I stayed at Thunder Mountain Lodge for a Thanksgiving Nordic ski getaway and were delighted that Grand Mesa had gotten a heap of snow just in time. Our cabin was well-kept and cozy, but just right for the two of us and we were psyched to be able to bring our dog. We cooked lots of warm... More

Perfect location, comfy cabins, big fluffy towels, amazing views of the lake, peace and quiet, who could ask for more! Owners and friendly and always helpful. Being away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life is well worth the visit.

We visited Thunder Mountain Lodge for my son's 13th birthday. He loved every minute of it. The cabin was everything we had hoped for and hosts were really friendly. It had everything you would need for a stay by the lake.

Thunder Mountain Lodge is in one of the most beautiful locations with great fishing and hiking (you ready for the Craig’s Crest loop?)! We spent most of our time outdoors after we acclimated to the high altitude. Btw, if you’re from low altitude this might take a few days, so take it easy, drink lots of water, eat plenty of... More

The cabin was fine, though we didn't spend much time in it. The hiking and canoeing on Ward Lake were delightful--low key but perfect for a short weekend. And the star gazing at night was awesome for us city dwellers. We saw a shooting star, which made it worth getting mighty cold out there in the middle of the night.

We spent one night at Thunder Mountain Lodge and we can't wait to go back! When choosing which lodge to stay at on the Grand Mesa I made phone calls to both. Jessica was so personable on the phone and she didn't rush me or make me feel as if my many questions were a bother. When we arrived, they... More

Stayed here two nights in Cabin 1 for a quiet bachelorette getaway. The owners were great and so friendly! Very good price for an amazing little cabin. Very comfortable, cozy and clean! Can't think of any complaints! We had SO much fun on the lake all day. It's just a short walk from the cabin. I highly recommend trying out... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Cabin 10. The owners were great about meeting our requests-fire wood for campfire, grill for our cookouts, and boat for trips out on lake! The cabin was very clean and stocked with everything you would need. Extra treat was delicious baked goods created by owner. Looking forward to return trip this... More
