Vista Verde is nestled in a valley surrounded by magnificent mountains. From the moment you are picked up at the airport you are the center of their focus..Upon arrival you you enter the lodge while your bags are taken to your room. It is clear that they spared no expense on the the western motif. A large stone fireplace surrounded... More

We just returned from our second Winter visit to Vista Verde Ranch. It is truly heaven on earth! The setting is stunning, the food is wonderful and the people are outstanding. The highlights were private guided snow cycle, snow shoe and tubing excursions. All geared to your athletic ability and interest. The cabins are wonderful; we enjoyed warm fires each... More

We stayed in a gorgeous two story cabin called Big Agnes. They stock the cabins with everything you could possibly need. Our particular cabin had it's own private porch with hot tub. So as the snow was falling you can be sitting in the hot tub, sipping on a beverage and enjoying the stunning views. Hospitality was exceptional. I really... More

We found Vista Verde Ranch via the internet and took a chance on a winter vacation with some friends. We were all extremely impressed with the uncommon friendliness of Vista Verde staff. Every person who crossed our path said hello, introduced themselves and asked if we needed anything. What impressed us the most was how consistent this behavior was across... More

We just got back from our first visit to Vista Verde. My wife and I were joined by another adult couple and we spent a week horseback riding, mountain biking, wine tasting, fly fishing and more. Our two-bedroom cabin was wonderful, with two large bathrooms, king size beds, a living room with wood-burning stove, and a hot tub for four... More

This was our second visit of many I'm sure. The staff are an integral part of the holiday and seem to enjoy being there so much that it's infectious. Great facilities and horses, we made great friends both human and equine. They really deserve every accolade.

This is our third year going to the Vista Verde Ranch. I don't know how they do it, but each year has been better than the last. The food is gourmet, the cabins luxurious, the horses solid and excellent, the biking and fishing beyond compare. VVR's biggest asset, however, is its staff. From manager to waitress, from office staff to... More

We started planning this vacation a year ago, with two kids at 10 and 13 we acknowledge the need to be active on our holidays and not just lie on a beach. With a daughter and wife nuts about horses we had our minds set on a ranch holiday form the start but spent a good 3 months researching various... More

After dragging my family (myself, husband, and 2 boys) to the beach 3 times last year, only to hear "I don't have anything to do" from one or all of them at some point during each trip, I decided that this year we were going to try something new. I began researching "dude ranches", and after looking at many lists... More

I almost don't want to write this review in case more people go and I can't re-book in the future! The reviews you've already read are absolutely correct this is an amazing place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I went to the Vista Verde last week (14th - 21st July), my first time in the USA,... More
