We stayed over a slow weekend, and found the staff to be less than friendly and the campsite to have fewer amenities than we would expect from a KOA. We like local-owned businesses, but this one really seemed to be staffed with people that had lost the passion for customer service. While the location advertises internet, there are signs posted...

Just got back from this campground. The owners are wonderful. The campground is about half tent friendly and half RV friendly. Site 56 is the very best tent site - right on the river, shaded, and despite how the map looks, there is no one to the right side of you. We stayed in cabin 8 and it was great....

The Location is great but all the facilities are tired and need upgrading. The folks are very friendly and accommodating. Although they say they have Wi-Fi it does not work at all and there is no phone service either. The price does not match the property.

Loved the location! Hated no internet or cell service zero !!!! pulling in and out was hair raising.. Everything was clean great views, quite, river right ther. Had to walk down a little bit of steep hill to get on river. but worth it. wish they had more full service spots..great pet area. kinda thin driving lanes.

Stopped in for a night driving through to Utah. Stayed in motel. Great price. Nice room. Very clean. Room walls were thin, but you could hear the river flowing and it was peaceful. The patio area was really neat. They have tons of things to do. Will definitely come back if ever in area.

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a very quiet spot that looked right over the Arkansas River. Stayed for three nights and just relaxed. Greeted by friendly staff and I noticed they take great pride in how neat and trash free the camp sites are. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park, although there is little shade, but it is kept...

First of all, we had a nice big site with a patio and table. In a beautiful setting on the Arkansas river. It was quiet. The bathrooms are another story, need updating and upgrading. Didn't even take a shower because of it. The windows to the ladies look out to the pool. Might stay here again, we'll see.

The staff at this KOA were so helpfull. I could not get cell phone signal to make any calls. They had a courtesy phone for me to use when our pick up wouldn't start. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Glad that we stayed here surrounded by other campers that were concerned enough to offer help. I would definitely recommend staying...

This was our first time to stay in Cotopaxi and it certainly won't be our last. The accomodations were excellent for our purposes; the staff went over and above to made our stay enjoyable. The location between Salida and Canon City is keeps you close to a town but secluded enough to appreciate the river and the wild animals.
