If I owned this place, I would definitely renovate, and bring it up to modern standards. This is a great destination ski town, and places like this need world class lodging to bring in the big bucks. I guess I just wish it was more than just adequate, really there is no excuse.

This is not a typical resort type hotel. This is more like a back country resort hotel that if it had some money put into it and a nice face lift it could be descent. The rooms have old beds in them that sag and the curtains struggle to work. The rooms are small and not very functional with their...

I stayed here for a week. We were upgraded due to water streaming from the ceiling and a broken door. It is not ski in/ski out, but there are a couple of fixes to make it easier. We rented a large locker in the Treasurey building. I kept my ski boots, helmet and other ski stuff in it. It was...

travellustinggirl, Thank you for the recent review of your visit to the Grand Lodge. Please accept our sincerest apologies that your stay began with a leak and a broken door. It sounds like we addressed this quickly, but we regret that your visit began with this challenge. Thank you for your feedback regarding the quality of dinner at the WoodStone....

Nice room with King-size bed, separate suite w/sleeper sofa and small basic kitchenette (not a condo-type kitchen but works fine for buying groceries, or if you bring home left overs to re-heat). Lobby is small, and there is only one entrance to the entire hotel so people in ski boots with equipment come and go through the same door as...

We've stayed here a few times. We have always had a pet friendly room for 2 nights. Great place to leave your pet while skiing. You are given a special door tag, so no one enters the room. Hot tub excellent, need time for adults only. way too many kids jumping and running around. Room needs to be upgraded especially...

My wife and I stayed at the Grand lodge in Crested Butte CO for a week ski vacation. The location is not ski in ski out but is located about 300 yards from the lift entrance. The rooms were a bit noisy due to the loud door slams and hall traffic. The staff was friendly, room service was good.

We waited too long to get a better place to stay, but this was a reasonable alternative. Not far from the lifts, but the walk is wearing in ski boots. Housekeeping was ok, but unpredictable. Small town feel with everything you could ever want. 5 min walk to the lifts and local restaurants. Outdoor heated pool and hot tub hit the spot after a day skiing. The lodge has a fireplace which has warmed my gloves everyday between sessions. Restaurant offers great breakfast, lunch and dinner if you feel like staying close. 5 STARS!!
