Room was well-appointed and very comfortable; particularly the bed......Could have stayed in it all day; were it not for the fact that we had an agenda. Gary and Winnie were gracious hosts and opened up the entire hotel for our use. My wife and I felt like we were home. The breakfasts were special........!

Carr Manor is a fabulous place to stay. When we checked in, the owner/innkeeper took us on a tour of the renovated high school, now a bed and breakfast boutique. Carr Manor is quite impressive with the quality of materials, details and workmanship that have gone into the renovation. Aside from the luxury accommodations for the vacationer, it is an...

Thank you Andrea for your kind words. We strive to have a home like feel to our property even though it is quite a large facility. Hope you had a safe travel back to Texas. Gary

My husband and I have always enjoyed staying at historic hotels whenever we can find one in a place we're visiting. The Carr Manor turned out to be one of the best! When making the reservations we could see the rooms looked very old-fashioned with antique décor. When we got to this place, we were greeted by the owner, Gary,...

I can't possibly say enough good things about Carr Manor. Gary gave us the grand tour upon entering and gave us all of the fascinating history behind the former high school-now boutique hotel. We got to see most of the beautifully decorated rooms in the hotel, each with its own charming theme. We were treated to two wonderful breakfasts -...

My wife and I found the Carr Manor in Cripple Creek to be one of the nicest B & B we have ever stayed in. This converted school house has been renovated maticulesly while still keeping some of the schools charm and history (like the chaulk boards) in tact. Each room is unique and elegant. The owners treated us like...

Wonderful place to stay. The feel was Definitely one of luxury and the staff had a real focus on the little things. The bed was more comfortable and room very quiet! The couple who manages the hotel was very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I 100% recommend the Carr!

What a fun adventure sleeping in a "once upon a time" classroom complete with chalkboards. The historic school, now a B&B, is full of history with art work and stories. The staff was friendly and accommodating in every way. What a fun place to celebrate a birthday. Early June seemed to be a good time to explore Cripple Creek area...

Carr Manor is a beautiful historic place to stay if you enjoy the fine points of immersing yourself in local history when you travel. We stayed in the "Principal's Office" and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The entire building is loaded with historic documents, photos and furniture from Cripple Creek's past, which alone is worth seeing. The hosts are...

We have had the pleasure of staying with family and friends at the Carr Manor on Presidents weekend for the past several years. I can't say enough great things about this remodeled school from the 1800's. Every room is themed, but still has the old schoolhouse charm including chalkboards in each room and hallway. The service is first class along...

Cripple Creek is a good 1 or 2 night getaway and Carr Manor is a comfy place to stay. There are boring Casino hotels with noisy slot machines, mediocre B&Bs, but for a homey, pleasant, place in a historical setting, nothing compares to Carr Manor. It is barely a block from all the hubbub of Bennett Ave yet it fells...
