It took a while to get to Cripple Creek but the drive was really pretty. The home is very nice and the mountain suite is unique. We loved looking out over the distant mountains, seeing the moon rise as well as enjoy a gigantic jacuzzi. We had asked for an early breakfast and were truly blessed with the best fruit,...

We first discovered the Whispering Pines a couple of years ago after we had made reservations at another hotel and arrived to find out they had been lost. We called Mark and Peggy, who said they had plenty of room available. We chose the Garden Suite. This was a great suite for us, as we had planned to come and...

The room was wonderful and very relaxing. Peggy and Mark are wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts we had (3 of them) were hearty and delicious. Great fuel...

Just finished a week long stay at this B&B and we simply loved it. Just minutes away from Cripple Creek, the hosts Peggy and Mark were very friendly and accommodating, a very large house with a wrap-around deck with the best view you will find anywhere! Breakfasts were delicious with PLENTY to eat. The only thing we found that wasn't...

Stayed here a week with my family gathering. It had enough space for all of us and then some. We even had a fun time playing pool in the basement. Spending time on the porch in the morning was my favorite thing about this place. You could watch the sun hit the mountains. The wifi worked ok if you were...

My husband and I are always looking for a great getaway. With children at home, and a weekend escape a few times a year is just what the doctor ordered. My main criteria is romance. Whispering Pines fills that requirement beautifully. We were met as we were pulling into the parking area by Mark, who greeted us and immediately shared...

“The Garden Room has private parking and a private entrance, perfect for smokers. The Mountain Suite has beautiful views. If you ask nicely, Mark will drive you to and from town, free of charge. Just don't ask him late at night! He might even serenade you the next morning at breakfast. If you're not up for that sort of thing, don't stick around to visit after breakfast.”
