We enjoyed our stay in Comfort Suites Summit County: the room was clean, clean white crispy sheets, spacious room with a small fridge, microwave and a coffee machine (the coffee which they provided is not good at all, so you should probably get your own if you’re a coffee lover, but they also offer tea). They don’t offer any breakfast due to Covid (even if says on their website) but nothing for breakfast. They’ll give you plastic silverware and plates though if you want to bring your own food. The location of the hotel is very close to a lot of fast food places and restaurants l, ski equipment rental places, the supermarket is in the walking distance. It located on a higher level so we enjoyed a very nice Mountain View from our room. They also have a small pool, outside hot tub (which we enjoyed a lot), the inside hot in is not working. Their reservation agent Michael was very helpful, friendly and professional. He perfectly accommodated all our needs, always was very approachable and there for us. He deserves a raise! …
We have stayed here several times in the past few years when skiing at Keystone. We really enjoy (1) the free breakfast and (2) the pool / hot tub, and those two things make it worth the 10-15 minute drive + parking headache at the mountain. Unfortunately, when we booked this year, NO ONE TOLD US that there was no longer any type of breakfast and the pool was only open for 30 minute reservation slots per family, if you're lucky enough to get a slot at all. Yet there was no discount to make up for that. For the same price, we could have stayed in a non-breakfast and non-pool condo closer to the lifts. On top of that, freezer was totally full of frost, and wifi was useless. Hopefully things get back to normal in 2022 after Covid.
On a recent weeknight stay we were given a delightful top floor, end suite - probably due my Choice Elite status. It was a large, clean and comfortable space with views to the Northern mountains. The entire facility seemed well-maintained, and staff were personable upon check-in. To work out the kinks from the road we went for a long soak in their outdoor hot tub where we could enjoy the view. Yes there have been a few changes due to COVID - including no breakfast - but still it was a very nice place to stay for just over $100/night.
We've stayed here several times in the past few years but the place is slipping in service and accommodations. First, when you check in you're handed and advised of all of their pandemic "rules" including blaming the government for having no breakfast of any kind. The lack of breakfast isn't stated when you make a reservation. There are hand sanitizing stations that are empty and finally when you get to your room you find candy on the floor from a previous guess and dirty filters in the AC unit. Do they clean anything???? How can you be so strict on masks when you allow filthy filters in the room where guests spend countless hours breathing the air that goes through these filters? You've gone downhill quickly and it is too bad as you have a nice location and what could be a nice facility.…
We chose this hotel based on location and the fact the rate was lower than the Hampton Inn. It is a dated property but the stay was comfortable for one night. Since there is no breakfast these days we walked to Einstein’s for breakfast. I remembered a few hours after leaving that I had left something in the room so called and talked to Michael. He went right up to the room and found the item since the room had not been serviced yet and was kind of enough to take it to UPS to have it shipped to me, at my expense.
