A very pleasant stay in an authentic, old hotel--right in the heart of Durango. Close to RR station, restaurants and street fair. The room was clean, modern--and, of course, small. A street fair and nearby train added to our stay--The noise was not a problem.

We had a great time at the General Palmer. Service was excellent and the location was perfect. Went on the train and all we had to do was walk around the corner. Loved the old elevator and the history of the hotel.
