My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary- We had received a certificate for one night stay but made it two. It was quite and peaceful. The town is so wonderful to walk around. George and Rita shared so much rich history with us- We really enjoyed the setting and the stay.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Horstmann House Bed & Breakfast this weekend and had a WONDERFUL experience! They have a large library of books and board games to choose from which was unique and we loved playing battleship. They also have a hottub which is nice for the colder months! We stayed in the Elk Meadows Suite. When...

Our stay at the Horstmann House was wonderful! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. George and Rita made us feel like family and were so hospitable. We especially enjoyed the bonus of their jacuzzi! Breakfast was delicious, and beautifully made as well. We enjoyed our stay there 100% and would recommend it to anyone coming through Georgetown!

Beautiful rooms, beautiful setting, friendly proprietor, hot tub, fire place, walking distance from town surrounded by huge and georgeous mountains. Couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast was very good. George, the owner, even got our outdoor fire started for us and let us print boarding passes on his office computer.

We had spent several days at another hotel in town and weren't planning to be back through Georgetown. However, when plans changed and put us needing to stay another night in Georgetown, the hotel we had been staying at did not have any availability. They referred us to the Horstmann House B&B and we could not have been more pleased....

It's very clear that George and Rita spared no expense when restoring Horstmann House, and converting it into a B&B. Built in the 1860's, this is such a cute place, and such nice people. Each room has super-comfy king-size beds, and a beautiful private bath. The library there (just outside the guest rooms) could keep even the fastest reader busy...

We booked this B + B due to the limited accomodation on offer in Georgetown. What a good choice. The house is in absolutely pristine condition and is up there as one of the nicest homes I've been in. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nothing short of luxurious and the whole place is calming and classy. It sits in a...

What an excellent find...every small detail thought of. Really comfortable rooms, fantastic hosts and a breakfast fit for a king! This was the perfect rest stop between DIA and summit county, for the ski season or a great location for summer high hiking.

The Horstmann House is a beautiful home with comfortable accommodations. George and Rita are gracious hosts and provide a wealth of knowledge for newcomers to the area. Rita's cinnamon rolls are to die for and George makes the best omelet I've ever eaten.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Horstmann House B&B has been open for eight years. The home has been in our family for over 100 years, and has been completely renovated. There is a large library adjacent to the suites containing many books on the history of Colorado, Georgetown, and Clear Creek County delineating our rich history of mining and our pioneer spirit. Our suites all have king size beds and private baths. We triple sheet our beds, provide robes and slippers, if needed, down comforters, heated mattress pads, turn-down service each night. Our hot tub is open throughout the year and is especially fun during the snow fall. ... more   less
