New carpet, new flooring in bathroom, clean, people in previous reviews complained about the small shower - really not that bad, beds were comfortable, good pillows. We had Unit #7 with a queen/full (?) bed. I was glad we were assigned this unit because our window faced the back of motel where it was private, vs. the other rooms had...

we stayed here one night and absolutely loved it - friendly owners, great location (we could take a stroll to the city center, the lake and i remember the trailhead to lone pine was not too far off either) and spacious rooms. the bathrooms were a tad small, but they were very clean and served the purpose well. the microwaves...

Very nice motel at the beginning of Grand Lake. Very friendly owners. We booked one room with two beds, but actually, there were two connected rooms, each with one bed. The mattresses could be better. Very small bathroom. But everything was very clean.

We recently spent two nights at the Lone Eagle in Grand Lake. The room was recently remodeled and very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the hotel is within walking distance of the lake and downtown.

Poor weather made us seek a motel, and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. The rooms are very spacious, scrupulously clean and comfortable. The angled window gives more space than you'd imagine for the table. Free coffee / hot chocolate / hot water for tea is available in the office. Big tv.

Last minute holiday escape to Grand Lake. We knew it would be pricey to stay in town, but were pleasantly surprised with accommodations at Lone Eagle Lodge. Room was large and very clean. Furniture was old-fashioned, but room was recently painted and bathroom appeared to have recently been updated. Area was well maintained. Residents seemed to enjoy benches and mini...

First off, Grand Lake in the summer is expensive. So I wasn't surprised that the Lone Eagle Lodge would be a bit pricey. On the other hand, my mid-level room in a chain hotel near Denver International Airport a day later was similarly priced, with none of the ambiance. Second, Grand Lake is THE PLACE to stay if you plan...

Despite a misunderstanding withe the room reservations, our stay here was very comfortable and rooms well equipped for short stays. Windows fitted with insect mesh could be opened allowing cool night air in to aid sleeping. Free coffee in the morning and our own breakfast sitting on the verandah was blissful!

My family was on a two week vacation in Colorado and we stayed two nights at the Lone Eagle Lodge. It was our second time staying here, so we obviously like this place! It's close to town so that you can walk to just about anywhere in Grand Lake you want to go. The rooms however do not have air...

We stayed at the Lone Eagle Lodge for 1 night in September of 2014. The room we had was very spacious. The lodge did look as if it could use some updating, as the carpet and rooms are definitely very 80s. The room did have a bit of that slightly musty, old hotel smell.
