We enjoyed our stay at Gateway Mountain Lodge. We booked our stay through Keystone Resort. The room was not much bigger than a hotel room but had two queen (or possibly double) beds, a daybed, table and chairs, and another chair and ottoman for relaxing. Nicely stocked kitchenette - toaster oven, panini press, griddle, etc. Definitely saved money on not...

The building has received new siding, all of the decks have had their walls replaced with metal railings so the views of the mountain have improved, the pool and hot tub have been renovated. A big problem before was that the hallways and the pool were really hot and stuffy. That has been completely eliminated. You used to be able...

There were 13 of us in a 2-story unit. It was great. The local mgmt team is over the top helpful. We were missing a bed in one room, made a call and immediately got a call to see how they could fix it. Location is great. It is walkable, a longer walk, but doable. Suggest taking the bus too,...

Although the multi-bedroom unit we stayed in had lots of room, we were disappointed with routine maintenance and repairs. Nice thick towels, lovely soaps and lotions, but they do not make up for essentials. Kitchen: sink faucet needed repair, one large burner on cooktop didn't work, no good quality pots and pans or cookware (no scissors, dull knives); lots and...

The 4 bed/bath we stayed in was nice the location was not too far from Riverrun Gondola. Would wear shoes and change into boots though at base. The biggest problem with the Gateway Mountain House is the ski storage lockers need to either be removed or greatly improved. There is a definite odor associated with wet/damp skis and gear that...

Great value if you do not want to pay double to stay in the village. You can walk 1/2 a mile to the village and lifts, but there is also a free shuttle that will take you door to door. I rented a studio which had a kitchenette for just myself. It was cozy and could sleep up to 4...

We checked in to our third floor condo and the elevator was broken. We barely received an "I'm sorry", and they offered us one girl to send over. The room was simply ok. Pullout couch mattress was sloped downward, 6 doors didn't close and 4 didn't lock. We asked for a late checkout because the roads were closed and were...

Gateway was our stay for one day if skiing. It was fine. Slightly bigger than a hotel room. The main lobby area smells like wet carpet cleaning fluid. Didn't enjoy that. Did like that we could check in at the main reception area in the morning before skiing; however, I only found this out after calling for parking directions. The...

We loved The Gateway! Fantastic Mountain views of Keystone Ski area! Convenient to everything. Great restaurants and ski/equipment rentals right downstairs. Great Condo! Plenty of room-everyone to have their own room! Clean and well appointed!

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The furniture and fixtures are old and dingy. Everything looked clean and the were plenty of towels and blankets. Water pressure in the shower was great. Our room had a murphy bed which was super uncomfortable. The mattress was thin and springy. I ended up sleeping on the couch which was cozier. The building...

“Whatever you do, always request a unit facing the ski slopes of Keystone it will be worth every penny. Advertisements on this unit state you can walk to the slopes! It is a bit too far to do with equipment and young skiers. Do not count on the conditions of or availability of Common area elements. Finally, be aware you will need to dump your own trash daily as there isn't daily room service.”
