The Lake Myvatn area was absolutely breathtaking. This guesthouse was equipped with wonderful, comfortable, clean rooms and a delicious restaurant with breathtaking views. My family and I had a wonderful dinner and breakfast here. The staff was lovely and friendly and very helpful with our itinerary. Definitely stay here and definitely come to this area!

Well the truth is we did not eat a lot of lunches but this was the best. I had the Farmers Platter - smoked char, an omelette, 2 breads, salad and a very large bowl of Skyr with fresh cream. The char was great but the Skyr was desert on steroids. The other people very much liked their lunches including...

We had an excellent lunch while visiting the beautiful Myvatn area in a cowshed café from which we didn't expect very much. And it was by far the best lunch in our holiday. Everything was really delicious.

As we are camping about Iceland on a budget, my husband and I try to save our kronur for meals that are worthwhile. Unfortunately Vogafjoss didn't live up to all of the hype. My husband got a bland burger with a very small potato for a side. It was edible and the cheese was definitely good. However, I went for...

Good unique location for visiting the Myvatn area. Note that sign on building is confusing if looking for guesthouses. We called ahead and told them we would be arriving late, and we were told that it wasn't a problem because they would leave the key in our room... Perfect. However, when we arrived at midnight we drove around for 15...

We stopped here for lunch expecting a mediocre meal but what a surprise. By far, the best icelandic soup I had in all of iceland with a couple of pieces of geyser bread. Not cheap, but worth planning your day to eat here.

The restaurant has really good food, as well as great cakes to have together with a cup of coffee. Really friendly staff and nice view of the lake. The breakfast is also served in the restaurant and it really good, especially the geyser bread, the selection of cheese and home made marmalades. The guesthouse is nice but a bit expensive...

The rooms are in little chalets across the road from the restaurant. They are very nice looking - all wood. No3 was a reasonable size . It was not obvious if parking in front of no2 was allowed so I did not - but no4 came and parked there later anyway. You hear everything from the 3 adjoining rooms and...

This was the best meal I have had in Iceland. The people were very friendly and the animals were lovely. I would come again if given the opportunity. It was very bucolic. The cows and sheep made me feel like I was home. The goulash was hot and very flavorful. The salad was fresh and had some of the best...

I both stayed here and ate here. The food was good local food and after a long day of driving was just what I needed. Of course eating with a view of the cows was a great and unique experience as well. The rooms were comfortable and resembled log cabins. I should note that there was smell of sulfer in...
