Spectacular place to rv camp or tent camp. Organized in a way that if you are tent camping, you won't be horribly impacted by the sound of rv generators running and if you are rv camping you won't be so close to other rv campsites that you won't have a view. Limited availability for rv hookups, though. But, hey ........

We love to come here to relax! We bring our fifth wheel up here at least once a season. You don't have to have an RV. There are plenty of sites for tents to big rigs! You don't have to have a boat either. You can rent one from the marina. As for the fishing, there are lots of different...

This was my first attempt at a more challenging backcountry camping trip with my kids. Normally we do car camping but I decided to give this a shot. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to plan ahead as much as I should have, but that's my bust. We stayed in campsite 904 because I notice it was a little off...

We drove through this park and found an easy hike - Ponderosa/Aspen loop - only 1.75 miles - takes you down by the cove and then up through a small aspen grove. Very scenic area - with interpretive signs to go along with brochure you can pick up at camp office.

We arrived about 7:00 pm on a Friday and there were still plenty of campsites available for the weekend. The site we chose (Rocky Ridge Loop E, site 110) had a large tree and several big boulders. It has a really nice view of the reservoir as well. While we did have to endure some noisy neighbors, overall we were...

We camp at the backcountry sites every year, and it's always a memorable experience! The state park staff have always been friendly and helpful. The men at the tackle shop are always great, as well! The hike in is manageable yet tough if you are carrying lots of firewood/cooler/etc. All of the campsites we have stayed at are quiet, removed...

Living in Colorado, every now and then you see a heron or seagull and it is confusing, but you figure they just got really lost. But, there is a Flocks of Seagulls all around this park and it is really kind of cool. They are not pesky like on beaches and it is really awesome to see them on their...

We arrived on A Thursday morning. The site we chose was in the Cross Creek campground, and VERY beautiful! The wind didn't show up until later that afternoon. We were all set up and our ez canopy we put over our picnic table nearly flew away. We re-staked it and lowered it so it wouldn't get the lift TO fly...

I would've given it a lower rating, but the view makes up for so much of the bad. Cons::So, make sure you read the rules before you do anything because the ladies at the front desk don't give you any warning of anything and you may very well, end up with a fine(which we did). Don't park your car at...

We were here with several friends for the 4th. The lake is a great place to fish, hike and just enjoy getting away from the big city! We always enjoy the beautiful skies, the stars and the overall beauty of Colorado when we are here. We hiked the backwoods trails as well as walking along the shore of the lake....
