Leadville has the most stunning 360 degree view of the Colorado 14ers... our reason for staying in Leadville! The Delaware Hotel is a classic genuine western hotel and a vast Victorian museum at 10,000 feet. Our room was clean and comfortable, and small but manageable with necessary basics. Both the staff and other guests were helpful in negotiating the stairs... More

This hotel has a lot of character and was a perfect basecamp for hiking our first 14er. The floors are creaky and so you will hear people around you but the rooms are cozy and inviting. We will go back!

Delaware Hotel is really both a Hotel and a Museum. It is totally unique due to the efforts of a singular lady. We just happened to be there on the night they were having a celebration of her life as the recently passed away founding spirit of the revived hotel (it was indeed a little weird). Delaware Hotel is the... More

Beautiful and well-kept hotel with excellent staff service! It was a lovely stay in a relaxing atmosphere. Delaware Hotel is also a museum, with priceless antiques lining the corridors, many of which are for sale. Smaller antiques are available in the gift shop and a cozy library is welcoming on the second-floor. Self-serve breakfast had a good variety, with coffee,... More

The hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Colorado, so they tell me. The rooms are furnished with fabulous antique furniture and fixtures. The gift shops are loaded with memorabilia as well as victorian era clothing, native american art and a wide selection of jewelry. One of the most interesting stops in Leadville.

Nice step back in time. The rooms are clean and comfortable but peculiar (small shower and sink next to the bed) but understand you are in a building that is over 100 years old. It can be loud and the stairs are steep and after a long night...heading up to the 3rd floor was a little difficult. Parking Lot is... More

Old hotel with clean rooms and comfy beds. Crooked floors and lots of furniture in the hallways and the steepest stairs I have ever encountered. Limited parking so you park in a lot about a half block away.

Stayed here October 3, 2016 If you're looking for something different, this is the place to stay. All the rooms are decorated in antiques. This is an old style hotel, which means you will have to walk up a long flight of stairs to the second floor or one more for the third (no elevator) this was no biggie, and... More

The room was comfy. They allow dogs for a fee. The walls were thin but we had a nice stay. The noise kept my dog up most of the night. Would return to this hotel. Lots of places to eat within walking distance! Free Wi-fi.

It can be the luck of the draw getting a room in old hotels like the Delaware. Often they are rejigged so the original nice spaces get carved up into rooms of inappropriate size.......or the original room was just too small for a queen size bed. Pay a bit more and get a king size bedroom. Ours had a poster... More
