HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The Cliff House in Manitou Springs is a highly recommend establishment. The hotel is said to be the oldest hotel in Colorado under continuous operation as a hotel. The renovations at this establishment are very well done. The veranda, patio and the public areas are extremely inviting. Hotel appointments in the public areas, and especially those of historical significance, are...

We loved the area of Manitou Springs. Fun to walk through the shops and has a bit of hippie feel. Cog Railway is worth the time and money. We went all the way to the top on a clear day and once can see for miles around. Garden of the gods is a special place not to be missed. The...

The hotel is located perfectly in downtown Manitou Springs. It is in walking distance of everything in town and not far from Colorado Springs. The rooms make you feel that you have gone back in time yet still has the modern necessities. The in house restaurant is very good, both for breakfast and dinner.

The hotel itself was beautiful and our room was wonderful but the restaurant was simply terrible. We had reservations last night for dinner and were excited to splurge on a nice dinner. We were seated promptly by Tanner, who told us he would be co-working with Lorenzo to take care us. Right off the bat Tanner seemed quite perturbed that...

My wife's brother and wife recently took my wife and I here to celebrate our anniversary. This is a beautiful old and i mean old (100 years old or so) hotel. The owners have done a great job restoring it. The food was really good. The presentation was extremely nice. The service was very good as well. My wife's brother...

We were visiting by son in Colorado Springs and wanted a nice place to stay. Manitou Springs is a cute little town on a hillside, great views, lots of restaurants, bars and shops in walking distance. Beautiful building. Very attentive service. The breakfast buffet was quiche, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, fruit, pastries, coffee and...

My husband whisked me away for a surprise overnight stay for my birthday. Although I had attended a couple of luncheons there in the past, I had never stayed nor had dinner. To our surprise, we were upgraded to the Thomas Edison suite on the top floor which we loved! Large with a king bed, very comfortable, fireplace with wingback...

The Cliff House was very enjoyable- it has old west charm with very modern amenities. The rooms are very large and comfortable. All staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Do not stay here though on a strict budget. A cappuccino in the front room was $8. There were only two negatives- the Jacuzzi tub did not work and the lighting...

We spent the night at The Cliff House at Pikes Peak in Manitou Springs, Colorado and came away feeling refreshed and relaxed. We hadn't made reservations as we were wandering around the Colorado Springs area seeing some sites, but coming upon this beautiful Victorian style hotel, we had to check it out. The staff was very accommodating and upon finding...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
