I looked at the room once and had to request a refund. A refund receipt was provided but they did it offline, so the transaction was never refunded. Had to go through dispute procedure with the bank! Beware!

There must be at least 40 motels in Manitou Springs, and I'm guessing La Fon would be at the cheaper end. However, the rooms are a good size and have all the necessities - fridge, micro, free wifi, HBO. Sure, it is a bit old and dated but the staff are friendly and helpful and there is a heated pool.

Since the new manager has taken over this place is great!! It is being remodeled, the rooms are clean, and they are pet friendly. There is NO mold, or bed bugs. Some of the stuff in the room is a little older, but they are working to get everything renovated and up to date. I have stayed there every time...

I came into my room, I think it was room 14. Let me tell you, I got my stuff in, pulled the cover back and sat on the sheet. Out of nowhere something bit me and I started to gush blood. It covered the sheet in blood. I went back to the office and demanded a refund. This was way...

We checked in here after driving all around the Manitou area and finding that everything was full. Even with our Military discount, the room was $75. It was too small for a king size bed leaving us hardly any room to navigate around. There was no closet or even a bar to hang clothes. There was a small kitchen area...

I stayed and was almost eaten alive by bed bugs - Cost $118 doctor visit and ruined my vacation- reported to local health authority but received a reply back that since bedbugs are not known to transmit diseases and there are no public health laws addressing requirements for their control and removal they would not investigate or require action. I...

The towels had black stuff on them, the bed had cum stains, bugs everywhere, imcluding dead and stuck to the wall. We were afraid to not wear shoes in the room. The bathroom door was a sliding door that wouldn't close all the way.

Not worth it.For $77 a night the bed sheets and blankets had hair all over them and I got bites all over my arms and back.I would not recommend this hotel for anyone especially if you have children we will definitely never be back to this motel again.
