We stayed at the wonderful Blue Skies Inn while in Manitou Springs climbing Pikes Peak, which is about 2 miles from the inn. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, we felt so welcomed and cared for. A beautiful basket of food with freshly baked muffins was delivered right to our door each morning, we stayed in a...

We enjoyed our intrepid Canadian visitors who carefully planned a long hike up and down Pikes Peak in March, sometimes a very snowy trip. It was fun to take photos of them as they set off at the base of the mountain and as they returned, cold but triumphant. A happy trip hiking the mountain depends on your gear, so...

We reserved one night - the Indian Rock Art 1 room - in celebration of our 40+ wedding anniversary. So glad we did! Within walking distance of "downtown" Manitou and yet so quiet. Located adjacent to the Briarhurst Manor, if you choose to eat there. Our room was $161.00, including all taxes. An unexpected delight for a Bed & Breakfast:...

Guests love our location because we are so close to downtown. We have free off-street parking literally within feet of each suite, and our charming little city has free shuttles that will carry our guests all over town, including the the trail head for the Manitou Incline or the Barr Trail up Pikes Peak. Oh, and *about* that vigorous hike...

What a lovely retreat even in the middle of winter .We stayed in the Deep Blue Suite with mermaids , fish and a canopy king bed . Larege tiled bath and a basket delivered to your door in the am. with a hot full breakfast . Ours had hot coffee, juice, muffins and a cheese soufflé. We will return when...

Okay, we admit it - we are *obsessive* gardeners. We have planted our 2 1/2 acre property with trees, bushes and perennials, many of which our deer find amazingly delicious. Our crocus and daffodils start blooming in February, and our last flowers bloom into October. We are especially fond of the little blue scilla, planted over a hundred years ago...

There are many B&B's, but only one Blue Skies Inn! Be ready for the full treatment from the moment you arrive. The Innkeepers take pride in the rooms and property and it's evident they take pride in making sure your stay is a comfortable one. Love all the fun themes in the rooms! We look forward to going back after...

When building our inn 21 years ago, we decided that our mission would be "Fun at Blue Skies Inn," which we even use for our email address. Sally used her art degree background to create entertaining interiors which are hand painted. Kiddoes love the ocean-themed Deep Blue suite and the celestial Starlight suite as well as Dot Matrix, a fun...

I booked a 4 day stay at Blue Skies Inn for my family's first trip to Colorado. We stayed in the Indian Rock Art II room, and it was nicely set up and decorated. Sally and Mike are wonderful hosts, and Sally's breakfast (brought to your door at 8am each day) was simply delicious. The views from the porch look...

Blue Skies Inn is located on the 1871 property once owned by the founder of Manitou Springs, Dr. William Bell. He located his home streamside, right in the middle of our beautiful valley at the base of Pikes Peak. We are wonderfully located right in the middle of our area's fun activities - tell us your interests, and we'll help...

My wife and I stayed here ten years ago in the Starlight Room. This year we decided to return to celebrate our ten year anniversary, and stayed in the same room. Mike met us in the parking lot, and took us straight to our room. He briefly showed us all the important and special features of the room. He also...

The compliment of a guest's return trip is much appreciated! Sometimes, we'll get to meet children birthed since the last visit, and we always enjoy hearing updates of our guests' lives and adventures. We love to hear that a couple has married after a romantic proposal here, and we enjoy counting the years of a couple's life together by anniversary...

Charming B & B just down the street from the hustle and bustle of Manitou Springs. Hand painted floral motif in every room, very personalized service by the gracious owners. Breakfast brought to your room in a picnic basket with hot coffee, an egg dish, muffin, fruit. Would stay again if I am passing through the area.

So we figure that the Rule of Decoration is: if you build your own B&B, you can paint it any way you wish. We did! It's hard to choose which suite was the most fun to create: the two that have Southwest Indian Rock Art images as a mural, the one that is all about the African savanna, a couple...

We stayed in the Sunset Room, billed as Blue Sky's most romantic room. It was dreamy and delightful, so so so romantic! I wish we'd known about this place when we were newlyweds, but it's never, ever too late to discover this wonderful inn. In fact, I think we felt a little newlywedish staying in this room! Thank you for the lovely comment about "a magical evening, dreamy and delightful." We like to think that we help our guests create wonderful memories while they are here. We are always available to talk area history, give hiking advice, or draw maps if asked, but we are *very* good about being non-obtrusive of our guests' stay. That's what our...

I stayed at the Blue Skies Inn while attending a conference in Colorado Springs, and what a great choice this was. Yep, what we do best - "leaving you alone" when you need it! We magically service your room while you are out for the day, and we tiptoe to each door to gently knock as we leave a full hot breakfast in a picnic basket. Dine in your jammies, then grab some more zzzzz's if you wish - it's vacation!

All the little touchs make this a wonderful place to enjoy the town. The setting is so serene. The Inn keepers are very accommodating. And the animals in the yard were fantastic to see right after we checked in.

Our local deer feel very comfortable and safe at the inn, and they are a guest favorite. Sometimes the deer will munch the tulips, other times they'll just rest in the garden and nap. For certain, many of our guests take home vacation photographs that star our gentle deer. If you want to experience Colorado wildlife, sometimes it is right...
