Can't beat the location. Right on Main St. We loved the charm of this refurbished 1893 hotel. The current owners have a wonderful sense of taste in decoration. Not much of a lobby. Our room was very clean. The bathroom was small as you might imagine for a hotel floor plan from 1893. The staff was absent from the front...

We really have enjoyed bringing the Hotel back to life and we look forward to begin bathroom renovations this winter. We are very proud of beautiful Ouray and Patrick, the staff and I have been working diligently at making the Hotel a success. Patty

Hotel Ouray is a lovely restored old hotel. It's charming in every way. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown within easy walking distance of shops, galleries, and restaurants. Free parking is provided in front of the hotel. It offers free WiFi and a modest continental breakfast. The hotel staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. It was a...

While lots of folks get excited about staying in an "historic hotel," too often we have found these older hotels can be less than comfortable. Not the case with Hotel Ouray! The rooms were large with very high ceilings, bathrooms were updated, and rooms were also nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable and linens were very high quality. The...

Dear GypsyRover, thank you for your detailed and kind review. It made my day! Always so glad to hear when our guests enjoyed their experience with us and appreciate the attention to detail we strive for. We actually do have a Key Drop, it is on the second level with the rooms, next to our Hospitality Room. If we know...

Perfect for my husband and I. Comfortable, clean, and cozy room. We were a little worried about privacy and noise, but it was not a problem at all. We had a small room which was perfect for us, we were only in the room long enough to shower and sleep. The staff was friendly and accommodating! We enjoyed the breakfast...

Thank you taking the time to review Hotel Ouray. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and it is always nice to know our smaller Economy Room worked well for you. The care the owners have for this wonderful place is evident in the details. The rooms are meticulously cleaned and decorated perfectly for the venue. We were a bit concerned that there might be noise from the street, but the town really does shut down at about 9pm, and all became quiet. We loved the choices of pillows, and the...

Dear Colleen, You made my day! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such kind words about our new/old hotel - it certainly has been a labor of love and we look forward to making further improvements as time goes on. Yes, the town of Ouray definitely rolls up its sidewalks about 9 pm, which makes for...

This small hotel is more like a classy bed and breakfast than a 'hotel'. The rooms are more than clean - they are immaculate! Beds are comfortable, furnishings are of the period. A light breakfast is available in the morning, to be enjoyed either in the breakfast room, or taken back to the guest room on a tray. The small...

Thank you for your kind review of Hotel Ouray! I agree with you, we have a homey feel to our hotel and many guests comment on the "Bed & Breakfast" or "Boutique Hotel" atmosphere. Our staff is outstanding and we find our cleaning staff to go above and beyond and they, as well as our Front Desk staff, help make...

We liked this place as it was close to good places to eat and it is just a nicely restored historical building. This was the second time we have stayed there, so that should tell you something. Be aware, there is no elevator and you have to walk up 22 steps to the rooms. Some rooms do not have a...

Dear Bud, thank you for taking the time to review Hotel Ouray. Yes, that lack of elevator is definitely something we wish our guests to be well aware of and can cause hardship for some. Lovely hotel. The room was comfortable, the facilities good. This elderly couple from England stayed in 2 weeks in Colorado: this was the only place that had hot water to make good cup of tea! Breakfast adequate.
