We stayed at Smiddy for a few days at the beginning of October 2016. We experienced such a warm welcome that we felt home straight away. Owners Pete and Irene were such a nice couple to talk to and was always approachable, if we needed anything. With regards to the location, its very close to Tarr steps, and ideal for...

Stayed with Pete and Irene for what I think was my fifth time just recently. Stayed with extended family, 11 of us in total with 3 dogs shared between 3 cottages. Everything was as I have come to expect, Pete and Irene are very welcoming and it's been a privilege to see the cottages and grounds improve with each visit....

10 of us, walking friends, got together for a week on Exmoor. We took over 3 of the cottages here which gave us plenty of space and comfort. we were able to rearrange furniture so we could all get together in the evenings for comunal dinners (one of us is an excellent cook!) followed by lots of chat and singing....

Our party comprised 11 adults, 1 toddler and 3 dogs .Some of us had stayed here a couple of times before and we found it to be of the same high standard as before, and Peter and Irene always make everyone feel welcome. The units are always clean and ready to use. In cold weather the woodburners have been lit to give...

Just back from a brilliant week at West Hollowcombe. We stayed in Norton - four of us plus dog with our friends in the neighbouring cottage. Cottage was lovely, clean, kept warm with the woodburner and had everything we needed plus great views. Kids loved feeding the birds, chickens and ducks every morning with Peter and we were welcomed with...

We've stayed several times now and still as excellent as ever. Peter and Irene are welcoming & were very helpful indeed when we had a bit of car trouble. Hawkridge itself has lovely walks, with deer and ponies to be seen in the immediate area. We stay in Smiddy, which is very comfortable and has all you would need.

We stayed in Jasper, it was lovely and really spacious. They are plenty of comfortable sofas and arm chairs. Having two bathrooms is useful. Scones on arrival, yummy. The location is stunning, it is in the middle of know where, but that was perfect for us. No phone signal (pay phone at the house), excellent wifi. There is everything you...

We had such a warm welcome from Pete and cream tea from Irene, that we felt straight at home. The cottage was well appointed and equipped and the views are stunning. You can walk straight out into woods and fields and down to the river, and the moors are about 10 mins walk further. There are good pubs not far...
