This was our second dude ranch experience as a family. I have nothing but love for this place. Lodging was adequate, but nothing fancy. Food was plentiful and fine. Location as you would expect in the foothills of the Rockies was beautiful. What sets this ranch apart is the personal involvement of the owners. We could not have asked for...

Hi Don, It was a great week, wasn't it! I can't think of higher praise than “Can't Wait to Return.” Wow! And we're looking forward to seeing y'all again next year. Your boys were definitely “Easy Keepers:” polite and so easy to get along with! We're glad that they were able to find a variety of adventures (besides horse riding)...

I enjoyed the most AWESOME weekend at Sundance Trail at the beginning of March!! Dan and Ellen & the rest of the crew make you feel right at home, and that their place is your place too! It's their off season so everything was incredibly quiet and peaceful. I feel as though it is always serene there, but I really...

Rachel, dairy free gluten free and other diets are just not a big deal here, as Ellen & Dan are both RN's and “foodies”! Now bringing your riding proficiency in winter and helping “tune-up” Miss Diamond – that's a big deal! Thank you!!!! And thanks for coming to see us again – we really enjoy our repeat guests. See you...

My boyfriend and I spent the most wonderful 4 days at Sundance between Christmas and New Years. Dan, Ellen and all the staff go out of their way to do absolutely everything to make you happy. I am a horse crazy person who was anxious to do some good riding i.e., loping in the fields, and my boyfriend was totally...

Thank you, Yulia and Peter for your kind thoughts! "Keeping you both happy" was a delight; you are both "easy keepers"! (Gardiens faciles? Hmmm... Maybe not good translation...) And thanks for the wonderful pictures - they capture the beauty of our mountains. Your horse friends, Monte, Gene and Gus, all send greetings and say: "Meci Beaucoup," until your next visit!

We enjoyed our week at the ranch in September. The scenery was great, learned to ride a horse and the ranch was very accommodating. I had no problem giving them a 5 star review. We would liek to visit again during the summer months so we can see it as a Dude Ranch.

We can’t thank the Sundance team enough for making our week at the ranch so special and for creating memories that will stay with us for a long time - we truly felt like family, from the moment we arrived! Hallo Christiane and Christoph! Danke für ihre netten worte! It was so thoughtful of you to bring Tilman here to celebrate his 18th birthday - great fun for all of us! (Your horse, Debbie, sends you a kiss on both cheeks!)

This was the perfect getaway from hectic city life. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Clean rooms and good home cooking. I had a fun time riding the trails with the patient and knowledgeable wranglers. A special shout out to Kay, Gene, Cory, Caitlyn, Ivan, Laura, and Clint. I hope to return some day soon. Yes haw!

Sharing our week with you (and Betty) was a hoot and a half! Dan is recovering from his knee replacements and is itching to get out there and build the first “Berlin Wall” for the planned obstacle course – the snow is still a bit too deep! Thank You for inspiring him!!! -Ellen

This was everything I dreamed a Dude Ranch experience would be! The owners, Ellen & Dan, made me very welcome as an already friend. Got there Wed am, on a horse by 10:30. Very relaxed, homey and great food cooked by chef Miss Kay. The ranch is small and the max number is 24. Also, the last two weeks are for adults only. We went during that time, 4 days, 3 nites. Horses well cared for, ride the Roosevelt National forest, lots of room...

Thank you Holly (& James) for your kind words. Glad you had a great time. Joining us mid-week can be challenging, as the Sunday arrivals have already formed friendships. But you jumped right in your quiet pleasant way! The wranglers smiled when I mentioned your names – we all enjoyed your company. Happy trails!
