Stopped over here for one night on our way through and found a clean and pleasant hotel. Friendly staff and clean, well equipped rooms, plenty of parking. The only drawback was that it was a long walk to the main restaurants / night life in the area. However this did mean that it was quiet, was a little disappointed that...

Stayed here after trying and failing to find a reasonably priced room in Alamosa as we headed south. I'm happy it worked out that they had a room available as the room was comfy and clean. Nothing fancy and small bathroom, but slept pretty well. No breakfast was offered in the morning (nor coffee), but there is a great little...

We stayed here in May 2015. We used two separate rooms, one room for my husband and I, and one room for his mother. We stayed in this small inn one night. The room was clean and nice. The price was very good. We were glad we found this place to stay.

This is an ideal place to bunk for the night if you are attempting a Culebra Peak climb. It is about a 20-minute ride to the north gate of the Cielo Vista Ranch. The owner is a friendly, very nice Korean War veteran and made it clear he wanted to sell the place. In terms of the hotel itself, it...

Welcoming atmosphere and comfortable rooms with no frills at an economical price. We made our reservation by phone the same afternoon. The rooms are spacious and the queen beds comfortable. We would stay here again.

Stayed here before hiking Culebra since it is so close to the Cielo Vista Ranch and it is nice to occasionally sleep in a bed instead of on the ground in a tent before hiking a 14,000' peak. My comments pretty much echo what others have said. The motel is well maintained and very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful....

We traveled from Lubbock,Tx , when we got to the motel we were greeted with a friendly smile, our room was exactly what we asked for( handicap), clean and nice for the price. My husband and I are use to staying at the Marriott's, so I was worried about staying at the San Luis Inn. The room was super clean...

We came through San Luis, CO especially to walk up the hill where the outdoor bronze stations of the cross are, ending at the little church that you can see from the hwy sitting at the top of the hill. We found the one and only motel and it was a no frills place, with a clean and comfortable room....

Many people will be trying to figure out whether they should camp or stay in a motel when they go to climb Culebra peak near the town of San Luis. I strongly recommend the San Luis Inn Motel as your more practical base camp. While not a 5 star hotel (not what anyone should expect for $70 a room), the...
