Time to step up your game, Pidillas of San Luis, CO. and the San Luis Inn Motel. You were so kind on the phone when I made my reservation and so interesting when we checked in but if you want your motel kept on the recommended list for Trip Advisor, you need to step it up. Room was OK except...

I didn't want to sleep in a tent before climbing Culebra Peak because there can be a lot tents and people coming in at all hours, so I got a room at the San Luis Inn in San Luis, CO. For $69, I got a big, king-sized bed, free Internet and a clean room. The room was large, but the...

We were traveling through a remote part of Colorado. Choices for lodging were slim, we decided to stay here because there was a hot tub and we needed a soak. The price was surprisingly inexpensive. The lobby looked like my aunt's living room in the 80's, complete with vintage floral couch and a live plant. The desk clerk was super...

We loved the San Luis Inn. The owners and employess have great Pride in their Inn and you can see it in the common areas and rooms. The Inn will be are Home away from home everytime we go to San Luis. The rooms are clean and the sheets and comforter are all new and the mattress was new and...

Every time I am in San Luis for business I choose to stay at the San Luis Motel. Mr. Augustin Padilla, the proprietor, is a decorated veteran of the Korean War (I leaned this from other sources; he doesn't brag about it). The hotel is close to local attractions (stations of the cross, sanctuary, museum, cemetery etc.). I have stayed...

This was my second stay at The San Luis Inn Motel while visiting friends and to plan a visit to Mother Mary's Garden which is a mile away. This past summer, I stayed while attending a nearby retreat during a heat wave when the weather was 104 outside. As I had mentioned previously, the rooms were immaculate and the AC...

We stayed at the San Luis Inn for one night in December while traveling to Taos, NM. It was below zero degrees outside, but the room was warm and the beds were great. The proprietor, Augustine Padea, was delightful when I spoke to him on the phone to make reservations and when we met him. There are a couple of...

Extremely clean, very nice owner, and close to some great authentic Mexican food (Emma's Restaurant)! Would definitely stay there again. Only compliant is only coffee and cookies for breakfast, but just a little bit north you can find a great inexpensive breakfast at Old West Cafe in Ft. Garland.

I ended up in San Luis Valley for a week as I was attending a retreat in the area. My initial response after seeing pictures of the hotel online was that of trepidation... As I am from NYC, a place where even the best hotels can be filled with creepy-crawly critters that will remain un-named, I have hesitations about stying...

The San Luis Inn is far from a luxury resort but met every need me had for our short time in San Luis. The owners live in a little house right next door and when we showed up after hours, he came over and checked us in quickly and efficiently. The property has very few frills but the rooms are...
