I love Devil's Thumb Ranch! The main lodge was built like National Park Lodges with soaring ceilings of Lodge Pole Pines and a large fireplace (which is lighted on 3 sides). There are several places with sofas and chairs to have a private conversations and look out at the

An absolutely incredible place to stay in the Rocky Mountains! The resort was clean, comfy, and provided endless activities to keep guests entertained. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud and the bathrooms' heated floors were to die for! While we were there, we went on a

I would recommend a lodge king with fireplace and meadow/parking. Also, try the zip lining it was so much fun.

Do you need to stay at the resort to book activities ?
No. They welcome visitors! We had a condo in Winter Park and found Devils Thumb Ranch while we were there. Just call to book spa, horseback riding, reserve a table for dinner..

I did not do yoga while I was there, but I did see something about it. It might have been on a flyer about the activities that were available at the the Ranch.

"For view of Continental Divide, request "Divide" room (although Meadow views are nice too)"
"Request a view of mountain and not of parking lot."
"We had a corner suite with fireplace facing the Continental Divide. (Rm 216). More expensive but worth it and quiet."
"First floor rooms facing the ski area do not feel very private. Suggest a second story room."
"The end suites are superb; High Lonesome sits up and has spectacular views of the mountains surrounding the ranch"
