As soon as I entered my room I noticed a light bulb was burned out in the bathroom . Then when I went to take a shower there was black mold along the shower floor. Reported it to the manager when I left and he said it was just stained chalk. It was mold. Gave me a 50% off room rate but then badgered me that it was my fault and should have told him as soon as I noticed it. He was not very Apologetic.
My husband and I recently went to Vail. We stayed at the Vail Mountain Lodge. It is a nice hotel. It is close to shops, restaurants, and one of the ski lifts. There is a bus stop down the street from the hotel too. We had a nice room. The room was big enough for the two of us, and the bathroom was big and nice. The only problem with the room was where the toilet was located. It is in a separate area with a window in this little area. Not much heat goes in that area, and being right by a window, that area got very cold. The toilet seat was always so cold!! There is a pretty nice gym area with a hot tub and sauna downstairs. Guests staying at Vail Mountain Lodge have access to it too. We worked out there one night. We also had breakfast included. It was ok. It was the same thing every single day. We thought that they might switch it up a little, but they didn't. The potatoes were always a little over cooked, and the eggs always seemed a little cold. However, it was nice to just go downstairs and eat breakfast (not have to go out somewhere to eat).…
Had a great massage at the spa. Lovely setup, clean, with amazing steam shower to get you loose. Felix my masseur was the reason I am writing the review - he was attentive and made sure to use the proper amount of pressure, and helped me make sure I was getting the best experience possible.
Recently came back from a 4 day stay. Location is great. Around the corner from Vail Village where there’s great eating and shopping and a short walk to the gondola. Overnight ski storage included in your room rate although boot/bag storage is not but is available. The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the fireplace and really appreciated the very clean humidifier which was filled every day by housekeeping. The staff was friendly, helpful and seemed happy to be there. Ate at Terra Bistro for dinner and it was delicious! Had drinks at the bar a few nights and were welcomed by name after night one. Used the downstairs gym and outdoor hot tub. Not the nicest I’ve ever seen but totally fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back.
I stayed in off season and I love this location. The hotel is perfectly situation in the village but nicely tucked away on the river. Terra Bistro in the hotel is a great restaurant and they have a massive gym/spa that guests have access to. One of the best lesser known options in the village.
